08/09/11 - Right now Sam and his buddies are having a little game of tag, running all
around the house! My daughter and I went camping for a little over a week and I
told them that they were going to go to the doggy hotel for a little while, and
that I'd be back in a few days! When we arrived to pick them up, they were so
happy to see us. All wags and wiggles. The kids shaved the dogs before we all
went off on our trips. They shaved their backs and halfway down their legs. It
looks great! Sam was a little difficult because he's got a few warts on his
back. But in the end they both turned out pretty well. It probably feels good in
the summer heat. Now the babies look beautiful. Not to mention cuts
down on how much fur they shed. Everyone comments on how cute they are, with
their tongues sticking out and how friendly! They really are beautiful dogs,
very affectionate. We all love them very much. Both the dogs like lots of
attention. Guiness balances on his back legs when he wants your attention and
Guiness will climb half way on your lap. He loves to give kisses! Guiness
prefers to just be held like a baby, where he goes right to sleep in only a
couple minutes. It's pretty funny. They both like to look out the window at my
desk to see what is going on, especially Guiness. Not too long ago we took the
dogs to the beach and Guiness had his head out the window of the car and then he
jumped out of the car! Luckily we were hardly moving and he had a leash on! Just
something to be aware of, hang on tight or don't roll the window too far down.
Guiness came to help me update just now. He's sitting in my lap right now. I
guess that's all for now. Better scoop these guys up, they have some of the best
personallities I've seen! 06/09/11 - What can we say? "The boys" as we so fondly call the pair, are doing terrific and Guiness is exactly what I imagine most folks look for in a pet. He is so sweet and loving and absolutely adorable you could just snuggle him up! Smart to. Doing great. Fits right in did I mention how happy and loving he is? His tail is always justa waggin' Sweetest baby you ever did meet. He says pick me you won't be dissapointed! 05/14/11 - Guiness is doing fantastic! He is now actually fully housebroken and will let anyone know he needs to go out by going to the door or scratching if he is in the kennel. Because of the cool damp days we have had a fire going and he likes to lounge by the stove. He had a "spa treatment" yesterday and now feels like a new boy! He is still shy around strangers, at first, but he warms up to them. He loves to be cradled like a baby and just be loved in your arms. He is going to be a great dog for someone. 05/02/11 - Guiness is a very happy, laid back dog. He is always pretty calm and his tail never stops wagging. He is good on the leash and about going to the bathroom outside. He is content just being held or petted and always greets people at the door. He is very loving and learns fast. As long as he gets plenty of love and cuddles he is happy. Around strangers he is usually pretty shy at first, always shying away from their hands. He does warm up after a while. He is a very sweet, calm dog. 04/24/11 - Guiness seems to be the favorite underdog! He is smaller than Sam and came to us with kennel Cough. He saw the vet on Friday and is currently on antibiotics. She loved them both. Kept commenting on their awesome personalities and how sweet they both were. He is now housebroken and is such a dollbaby! Both of their lower teeth sticking out just makes them so irresistable! Savannah is always saying just calm down as a joke because he is super laid back. All he wants is some good home to pick him. Very sweet baby. The kids favorite foster doggie so far... 04/13/11 - Guiness is a really sweet boy. He loves to be picked up, held and cuddled. He likes to go for long walks and doesn't mind being on the leash. He has little man syndrome though, and tries to pretend to be top dog. Cuddles and Sam won't allow it though. He will eat right along with Sam without trouble. He wouldn't mind doing the same with Cuddles but she would never allow that. He goes out on the line all the time and gets walked nightly with the other dogs. He is a really sweet boy who has a lot of love to share! Will add more as we get to know this sweet pup better! |
