9/29/10 - Santana is doing great and is such a sweet loveable little guy. He is doing quite well with housebreaking now that we have figured out his "sign". The dogs go in/out through a sliding glass door to the fenced yard, well Santana is a little confused he doesn't go to the door but goes to the electric fireplace a few feet away to get let out.  He jumps on the glass front of it and when it doesn't magically let him outside he potties on the floor. It took us a few times to make this connection. Now when he goes by the fireplace we let him out and there are no accidents.  Such a silly boy. I am sure he will figure out to go to the door but for now we are just thankful he gives us a sign, that is a real plus at such a young age!
Santana went to a Pet Expo with us over the weekend. It took him a few minutes to get over his nervousness (lots of people, other dogs, noise etc.) but once he settled in he did really well and got tons of attention. I did get some confused looks when people saw Puggles at the Boxer Rescue booth. There was a lot of interest in both Carlos and Santana few people could resist those cute little faces! Better get those applications in with the amount of interest we had at the Expo I don't think they will be in rescue much longer.

- Two of the sweetest little Puggles (Pug/Beagle mixes) arrived here on Saturday after a long transport. They are about 9 weeks old and just as cute as can be. We have named them Carlos and Santana.
Santana is fawn, darker than his brother. He is very playful and loves all the other dogs especially my other fosters Noah and Cisco. Santana is really good at keeping himself occupied with a chew toy when one of the other pups don't want to play.
     More updates coming soon!
NOTE: Because I am a puppy, I will need to go to a home where someone is home most of the time, work at home, retired, stay home parent, etc.
