| 5/24/10 - Sundance has been such
a special little guy to have around. He came to us afraid of almost
everything-men, doors, big dogs, quick movements, strange sounds, being touched- it was really sad. Since then he has learned to get
along with my crazy crew (2 jrt's and a terrier mix) cuddled up with
my husband and I , trust the sounds of my house, play like a puppy,
have his nails clipped without trauma-so many things. He is a
wonderful little guy who deserves a special home where he will feel
safe. I think the right fit would be a home that can be peaceful and
quiet. I don't think he would do well with small children as he is so
small and still has lots of fear around being touched. The right home
would understand the needs of a small dog that has been hurt by
people. It would be a patient and committed family that would take
him, but he would give back so much. We love him and feel lucky to
have him with us. 9/21/09 - Sundance is doing really well. He obviously was abused as it has taken us a long time to open him up. He's been great in my house and with my dogs. Unfortunately, daycare has not been an option as it seemed to stress him out. He hangs out with me at our large facility and runs around greeting people and dogs. He becomes braver with every day he spends here. Appetite great and potty stuff great. He needs gentle and loving support- also lots of patience. He's been really fun and I have loved my time with him. 7/12/09 - Sundance arrived in rescue today from another rescue group that was overwhelmed. I have no paperwork or information on him so don't really know his story. He has been in rescue a long time. He was great on the ride here. Went out and went to the bathroom and is now quietly resting in his crate. More as we get to know him. |
