2/23/10 - Hi It's ME!!! The Birthday Boy...RYDER!
I'm 2 can you believe it?
Nope, me neither. I thought you would have come for me by now!!

Do you know what being 2 years old means??
MATURITY!  I am all growed up.
But, that doesn't mean that I'm not fun!  I am THE funnest guy around!

I know you are busy but, close your eyes for a minute, take a deep breath and pretend you are cuddling me.  I am warm and squooshy, I give soft little kisses (Not like those boxer facials Lucky likes to give).

I am small enough to be "cute" and sturdy enough for teenagers.
Little kids aren't my thing...
they want to play with toys and you and I both know the toys are for ME.
I am very versatile; I can be the accesory that compliments your latest outfit and turn right aroung and go "hunting" with the "Guys"...
Hunting, yeah that's what they call it when the men all hang around, tell stories and fart.  They blame the last part on ME.  Can you believe it?  How CRASS.

So, Can you PLEASE make my Birthday Wish come true???
Take a nice scenic drive to Connecticut, pick me up...(I'd show up at suppertime, Foster Dad is a real good cook and he sometimes drops stuff on the floor for us...)
and make me YOUR dog!
That would be so super awesome and cool!
Don't wait, I'm not getting any younger ya know!
Love, Ryder!

1/31/10 -
It's me Ryder, AGAIN!
Aren't you sick of seeing my lovely face on the Good Dog (read; I'm NOT a Bratty Boxer, neener, neener, neener! )  Page???
Well, Foster Dad says he's willing to put up my ransom, I mean adoption donation.  He says I eat more than the adoption fee will ever cover! Lol!  He does not know the very valuable service I render by cleaning up everybody else's leftovers!   Since I am so low to the ground I see what everyone else misses...parrot food, dog food, people food...
All in all Foster Mom says I'm pretty good.  I need somebody with a big yard or access to a lot of sniffing room.  I love to explore and I am fearless of everything.  She says I need a "Hands Off" approach whatever that means...?  She says I am easy to verbally re-direct but I cop a 'tude if you try to manhandle me.  Just 'cuz I am crate trained doesn't mean I gotta like it!! I'll tell you all about it if you let me!
You know, I have seen a LOT of boxers getting adopted, but me n Sundance haven't had too many nibbles!
C'mon take a chance!
I compare well to a Boxer:  I have a nub instead of a tail, I sashay like they do...that means my butt wiggles when I walk... I give kisses, I love to chase a ball, and I love to cuddle!!  YOU could be unique.
I am a RARE breed after all, NOT everyone can have a BeaBull!
I am a wonderful companion and I will go anywhere with you.  Foster Mom takes me to the Home Depot sometimes.  It is HUGE with lost of stuff to sniff.  One time I saw a mouse and I wanted to catch him in the worst way!!!!!!!!!!!!!  FM said No, we gotta go.  Maybe next time!

12/17/09 -
Santa's on his WAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!  It takes a week to get to Connecticut from the North Pole ya know! I hope he will bring me a FURever family for me to love! Foster Mom & Dad have been really busy with my Big Boxer Buddy Lucky.  He had to go to the vet for surgery and I have been going from my crate to his and he still isn't back yet...it's been threee days!  See, I can count but can't spell too good.  I miss my friend.
Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule...see, I'm flexible with my traditions 'cuz they all involve really great FOOD!  I have a short list of wishes:
All I want is;
My friend Lucky to get better soon and be healthy so we can go run and wrestle real soon!
A Furever family that likes to play and will take me obedience school so we can learn to communicate really good.
I love my Kibble Ball and we can go shop for one when I adopt you...
If you aren't sure what a Kibble Ball is it is this mysterious ball that FM brings out and when I push it around and play with it the Kibble (dry food) drops out just like MAGIC!!!
Come on and Call Auntie Leann and tell her you want me to adopt you!
Since I can't dial the phone!!  I am a fun guy (not a fungi) I love to run and play and wrestle with the Big Dogz.  I love a good belly rub and I can snuggle with the best of them.  I know how to "kennel up" and I come when I'm called...ESPECIALLY at food time!  I am very food motivated and FM makes me to sit and WAIT (an eternity of at least 2 minutes) before I can touch my food. I know how to sit and Wait.  I am still working on my leash manners.  FM has taught me to be on the ecollar and I am a superstar with it. I have earned "run of the yard" priveleges so, I am free to run down and look at the ducks & geese, chase Hercules when he picks up sticks and race around with Mya ALL over the place!   We have play time a couple of times a day.
FM gave me a bath the other day and I was good...the NEXT day I got in the tub by myself to have a drink of water... When it's time for bed I snuggle with my blanket in my crate.  I don't like pillowy type bedz so, FM got me a big blanket and I can hide my toys and snuggle too!  Once in a while she misses a piece of food when she cleans my crate and I get a snack!

11/13/09 -
Well it's 10 days to Thanksgiving...
The bratty boxers are spending more and more time in the kitchen (where my crate is).
They are poaching in MY territory! THEY think they are getting some Turkey.  I have some NEWS for them!  No way Jose!  It's gonna be MINE, all MINE!
See, I been practicin'...
Yesterday Foster Dad made some delicious smelling Buffalo wings.  When he took a sample and went to go watch TV and eat his... I followed my nose... GUESS WHAT?! I found them...right on the stove where my nose said they would be! I TRIED to eat just ONE.  But they were Sooooooooooooooooo delicious that I couldn't help it.  I took the whole pan and took it to my crate and ate them ALL!  I had Buffalo sauce on my mush and my pretty white paws.  Foster Dad knew it was ME. He was quite upset.  However, when FM came home and FD told her she laughed! FD showed her what a great job cleaning up after myself!  He showed her the clean floor, the sparkiling clean pan and everything!
FM told FD "That is why I SHUT the crate when we are cooking or eating" FD was not amused.   FD said he hoped I was pooping FIRE today!  (but I wasn't)
Wanna know why I call them the BRATTY boxers? 'cuz they are always enticing me to play and I growl and bark like a BIG dog and FM says; "No fooling around in the house! " She always catches ME!  They sit pretty and look innocent and I haven't learned that trick yet!  I thought I was doing pretty good just waiting patiently at the door to go outside!
FM says I am getting better.  She says I am very good off leash BUT I pull while leash walking.  I am trying but there is Soooo much cool stuff and new smells to check out! Today they filled in the trench in the backyard so no more jumping over it.  FM says she will put the 'gility stuff back up as soon as the kennel place is done. I wish they'd hurry!  I can't wait to see what kind of new dogs we get for visitors!
Well, I'm pooped after playing and the lights are about out.  So I'll say goodnight and pray that you come and find me real soon!   Remember!  I don't even need a turkey.  Some nice Buffalo wings will do! 'Til you come and find me, I'll practice being a good boy so FM & D can be real pround when you fall in love with me!
Love,
Ryder (My big skin brother started calling me "Low Ryder"  )
Lucky got to go all the way to Bangor,Maine to meet his plane.  Skin brother stopped on his way over to Afghanistan.  Lucky got to play with 273 Marines.  I like Marines too! But,I didn't get to go.  FM has started a box with stuff to send to Shrek {my skin brother} and I put a toy in there.  FM said it was very sweet but she didn't think my chewy toy would be much use to him over there.  Paws crossed for his safe return.

11/1/09 -
It's almost Turkey Day and where are you???
I told ya those bratty Boxers are gonna eat ALL of the good stuff.
I need a forever home of my own with my own people....and my OWN Turkey!
I just came back from playing in the yard with my friends Lucky and Mya.  We saw these honking things in the river FM says they are geese.  I wanted to check them out but FM told me No! so I didn't.  I just went and ran around with Lucky and Mya.  I chase Lucky and I nip his ankles and he tries to run with his butt tucked in but that slows him down so I WIN!  Mya is a sneaky old girl.  She runs right beside me and she bumps me and I roll and roll.  Then I get up and chase her !  We like this game!
FM has been working with me on my manners.  I don't try to keep my toys so much any more (I was VERY protective of my "Stuff")  I sometimes will let Hercules take a toy from me but not too often.        Well, since it is November now and Santa will be coming soon, I had better put in my Wish list now!
I wish for a forever family of my very own.  I like Bigger people (adults) who will take me places and let me run and chase stuff.
I wish for some really tough toys...I am a record setting toy destroyer!
I would LOVE a kibble Ball all of my own that I won't have to share with the bratty boxers that live here.  I get my breakfast in the kibble ball and I eat slower and I love to push it around ant gobble up my food!
I like my crate and you could get me one of my very own!   (Especially since I am not allowed on the furniture here.  I make a fuss if I need to go potty.  Other than that FM says I am pretty good.)
You could get Me one of those red laser pens...I LOVE to chase those!
See, It's not a very long list.  But, it is a very important list for me!
FM wants a word with you to help you decide on ME!
     Hi There!
Ryder is a super little dog. He will be an awesome companion and follow you everywhere.  He's not a "velcro" dog though.  He is an energetic little guy and tough as nails.  We had a little stress with him a week or so ago.  Not his fault really. However, he tried to take toys out of the mouths of the other dogs and they were having NONE of that!  You can imagine what happpened next.  We have since started a NO TOYS outside policy and things have settled down.
Ryder is content to grab a branch or stick and run around with it.  I would say he would be good with older kids (teenagers) but not younger kids.  He is a very confident dog and thinks that he can push kids around.  We do not allow him on the furniture for those same reasons.  He needs to know he is a dog and never the Boss!
Call SCBR and they can hook you up with this cool little guy!
(Little by comparison to the boxers, he is 40 pounds though! )

Ya know, (that's my NJ accent I learned at Auntie Liz's)... It's Snowing!! Not even Howleen yet (heh heh, get it? Howl-een!) and it's SNOWING here in Ct!!! For sure, it's gonna mess up my costume, shucks!  Foster Mom says she is gonna dress me like the Devil.  Can't imagine WHY?
You gotta know that I am the nicest boy.  Once I have had a chance to trust you.  See, it appears to FM that somebody had a "heavy hand" with me and I don't respond well to a battle of wills.  I am a VERY intelligent boy, FM says I can be re-directed pretty easily and I just need some long walks or lots of off leash playtime to run and be a Beabull.
I like toys and I need very durable toys 'cuz I have the most fantastic pearly whites and they can take apart a stuffy toy and remove the innards and the prize in seconds flat!  What? YOU didn't know stuffy toys come with a prize??  It's thay annoying sqeeky thing buried in all of the stuffing.  FM says I have momentary toys.  My Foster Brother Hercules still has some toys from when he was a puppy and he's SIX now!
Maybe you and I could go shopping and I can help you pick out the right kind of toys... Whaddaya say? There's that NJ thing coming out again! Wontcha give a Beabull a chance?  I could really love you and keep you amused...!
Love, Ryder

Hi Hi HI HI Hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi hi!
I mean HI! Hello! Anybody out there? It's me Ryder looking for my forever family.  Are you looking for me? You don't have to look too hard! here I am!
I have been hanging out with these four boxers and they are nice and all but there aren't enough humans to go around!!  A Beabull needs his peeps you know!  And I'm not talking about the marshmallow kind you get at Easter! Speaking of which WHY are there only bunny and chick peeps, no Puppy Peeps?!?!? Huh? I bet YOU wondered that too dontcha? (hey, I'm a dog not a spelling Bee).

Foster Mom says I am a wonderful little dog, who needs lots of love and DIRECTION.  Direction scmection, I got a nose, I can find my own direction I mean really! Just because it isn't HER direction...That's why Mom needs a GPS and I don't! I am very sweet and I am young so, I still need to go to school to learn my leash manners and to not check out the counters, etc...
I like ny crate and I will go there when I am tired or at mealtimes and I keep my prized possesions there...like the hedgehog toy, my squeeky tennis ball you know, TREASURES!
Well, it's late and I need to go to nighty night.  I'll be dreaming of you... I wish you'd come and get me real soon!  It's gonna be Thanksgiving pretty soon and these Turkey boxers for sure are not going to share the drumsticks!  I would love to follow you to the ends of the earth and I'd be willing to dig it up for you if that's what you want! Come 'n get it, I mean ME!! Come and get Me!!
Love, Ryder

9/21/09
- Well, I am settling in here in Connecticut. HOWEVER, I am advertising for a Forever Family of my VERY OWN! I'm too cool to wait around while these humans think of things to write...
I really love to run, run, run nose to the ground.  My next favorite activity is playing with my friend Lucky.  Lucky is a big boy.  I can take him though! watch my video and you'll see me take him out and pin him.  He may be a Boxer but I can wrestle!
Foster Mom has taught me to be off leash with my ecollar on...you see, I goofed while I had the leash on and wiped her out.  She said that was a FIRST! But, she didn't seem too pleased??  So, now when we go outside to play or for a walk she puts my collar on and I am such a good boy!  That's what she said!!! REALLY! (I think that's better than "smart aleck" which is what she used to call me... )
We have lots of stuff going on here, there is construction and mowing and lots of activity that I want to be involved in.  FM lets me out and we go look at the river and I can check out the latest activity. Yesterday we went outside and there was a HUGE trench from the house ALL the way down to the back yard.  I stopped and looked at foster Mom.  I HAD to let her know:   I didn't do it!!!!!!
So, If you love to run around and goof off then I'm your boy!
Uh, oh!  Here comes FM.  She wants to put in her 2 cents.  I suppose, it is her email after all!

Ryder is a super sweet boy.  He does have a bit of guarding of toys, but we are working on that.  For that reason,I would recommend a home with older children only. Ryder also requires strong leadership.  He likes to be in charge and sometimes that is misplaced. He gets the NILIF (Nothing in life is free) method of dealing with him.  He is NOT allowed on the furniture here.  He eats in his crate and he is not allowed toys when he is out for a potty break.  He gets possesive over toys whether he has them or is taking them out of another dog's mouth which leads to conflict.  He is willing to take but not share... sheesh, kids!
Because of his bulldog build, Ryder is very strong.  He pulled me off of my feet while leash walking him.  So, I have started him with an ecollar.  This has been very effective for him.  In a couple of instances it has enabled me to get him out of a potentially bad spot.  (trying to STEAL Tucker's toys) and redirect him to a better choice.  He is very smart and learns well and fast.  Since he is still young when he tells you he's gotta GO, He's GOTTA GO!!!! All in all a good boy who deserves a home of his own! He would be great with another "sturdy" dog, a boxer of his own to boss around and play with.

9/6/09 -
Ryder here.  Can I tell you about my day??!!! After a nice Sunday drive up from New Jersey I arrived in Connecticut at Aunt Nancy's.  Just in time for puppy playtime... Little did I know I was to be the TOY.  Gheeesh, Can't anybody develop a "Sign" for Reese so he knows I AM NOT A TUG TOY?!?!!

Is Bo the Blue Bulldog available?  I need a guard dog!

You DID see the pictures didn't you? That silly white boxer was treating me like a second class citizen!  Hey, I may not be deaf like him but I have FEELINGS you know!
So, After I played with EVERY dog in the house a few (THOUSAND) times.  Another lady came and got me.  She told me on the SNOOZE, I mean ride home, that she was going to be my Foster Mom.  That I will go to Boot Camp with the other dogs there.  She said she thinks Lucky and Hercules will love to play with me.  I asked her if we can wait 'til tomorrow to meet anybody new.  I'm tired and hungry and I need to pee when we get there.
So, I checked out my accomodations for the evening and so far so good.  I met the Man of the house.  I don't wanna call him Dad 'cuz he might get attached and all mushy and want me to stay.  Even though he might be real nice I want a family of my own and hopefully another young dog to play with.  Hmmm, second thought an older dog might do... They could teach me to "keep my nose clean"
I'm going to sleep now.  I'll let you know about this new place tomorrow.  It has been a very long day entertaining all of the new people I met today.  It's a dog's life ya know!

Hi Ryder fans out there.. I cannot believe this little guy is still here.
This little guy has the best of both breeds....... the Beagle sniffer and the Bulldog talking.
He is a Chatty Cathy! He likes to tell you his woes!
Ryder's woes include not being able to get to the kibble that slid under his crate and his Foster mom taking to long to open the door for him to go potty. He has a whole story to tell me about it. When he is talking it sounds like a cross between a mumble and gurgle. it's really very cute.
His manners are coming along and we have the counter surfing under control.
He is still a pup and ready and willing to do what ever is asked of him.
He has learned his place among the 5 pack of other doggies here. He takes correction from them very well..
This little boy is going to make a wonderful addition to any home!!
Get your application in right away... he won't be around long!!

7/31/09 -
What a wonderful little guy.   This little boy is just a gem.  He is a youngster so he really wants to play with the resident dogs here.   He is out in the pack now but I have the mature crew here. They seem to get a little annoyed  and grumpy with his attempts to play. This is no trouble for Ryder... He promptly picks up a rubber chew toy and entertains himself.   He just sits on the floor by my side and plays with his rubber bone. He is fully house trained, he knows basic commands and just wants to please. You have to see him just beam ear to ear when I tell him what a good boy he is! He looks me right in the eye and listens so intently. He's just a sweetheart.
If your thinking about adding this sweetie to your life..get your application in! He won't be around long!!

Well Ryder has been here 1 day now and he has settled in a bit. We played outside all afternoon and he loved it. He loves to play fetch and run. He really needed to exercise. We worked on his leash tranning and it is getting better. We are going to keep working on it. He gets along pretty well with my boxer girl they play kinda rough once in a while. The shi tzu, well that's another story, it will take her awhile to warm up to him. My boys think he's really fun because he likes to play alot. He is very good with them, very gentle and no jumping. Everyone who he has met thinks he is just the cutest thing. He goes in the crate with no problem. The first night he barked, but last nigt i didnt hear a peep out of him.  He needs a bath and a toenail trim, so Thursday will be Ryder's day at the spa. He needs a little training on the leash, but other than that he's a great little guy. I'm sure he won't be here long before someone snatches him up. Get those apps in.

- Ryder arrived here late last night. He sure is a cutie patootie! More to come when I get to know him better!
