03/07/14 - Attica has been adopted.
02/19/14 - Hi! So my foster mom’s grandson was just playing with me and said “gosh, why has no one adopted you yet? You’re about as boxer as a boxer can get!” LOL. I love to play with people or toys and especially other boxers! I can bounce all four feet off the floor and I’m up into the air; just like Winnie the Pooh’s friend, Tigger! I know when to play and when to behave; I’m crate trained, housebroken and I have a hearty appetite. And then, of course, I’m beautiful. I’m still looking for my forever home. Please consider adopting me. Love, Attica
01/27/14 - Hi again, Attica here! I’m having fun at my foster home but I sure would like to find my forever home real soon. This morning was a different routine for me. Foster Mom took me to a place where there are a lot of things called “cats” to see how I would behave around them. Let me tell you! I am afraid of those little furballs……you won’t find me chasing them around the house, that’s for sure! After our visit with the cats we stopped at this place called Dunkin’ Donuts and the nice lady at the window gave me two munchkins! I was very polite and took them gently from her hand. She was very impressed with my manners. Please consider making me a part of your home……..I know you’ll be glad you did!
01/10/14 - Hi Everyone! My name is Attica and I am back here in Rescue……through no fault of my own. The family I was with loved me very very much but due to a change in their circumstances they needed to give me up and they knew I would be in the very best hands with Second Chance until a new home is found for me. I am settling in here very well. Foster Mom and her grandsons are working with me on my manners and obedience. I like making them happy so I go along with every little game they play with me!! My very best friend here is a boxer boy, named Bowie. We run, play tag, wrestle and just have a grand time. Foster Mom says we never seem to tire out and she grumbles a little while she puts the house “back together”. Lol. Don’t let my sweet, innocent face fool you……I am a lively little handful and I would love to bring a bundle of love and joy to your home!
01/03/14 - Attica, formerly Maxi, has returned to rescue.
04/10/11 - Maxi has been adopted.
04/10/11 - Maxi has been officially adopted....I love it when good things happen to good dogs and good people. She just left with her new Mom and Dad who fell in love with her at first sight (that is such a magical moment to watch happen) Kudos to all the volunteers who made this happen including her loving family who made the sacrifice to surrender her to our organization. This little lady is a picture postcard of every quality that makes us all boxer fanatics and why we love the breed and go to such labors of love to foster dogs with the hope of finding her a good family.
03/25/11 - Maxi came to us 3 days ago gets a 10, 10, 10, and 10 across the boxer score board. It is SOOOOO obvious she came from a loving and caring family situation. She has that classic "old german boxer" face with a proud muzzle and floppy ears that bounce back and forth with every new noise she hears. Sit,down and shake are part of her obedience skills, goes into her crate with no hesitation, great appetite, no food aggression, house trained and waits her turn patiently for treats. Maxi responds instantly to any voice correction, is not a drooler and gets along VERY WELL with the other boxers in the house, so well that I could start selling tickets to "Boxer Wrestlemania" It's either she and Ceasar going at it, or she and Miss Molly are rumbling but the best show is when my two tag team against her. It would be great if she was adopted into a family with another boxer....the entertainment would so rewarding. We have an appt. with the vet to get a shot, heartworm test and a fecal check but I don't predict any surprises with that trip. This little lady is a picture post card of every quality that makes us all boxer fanatics and why we love the breed and go to such labors of love to foster dogs with the hope of finding her a good family.
