| 1/5/2010 - Hi everyone. It’s me Bo. Flashie is sleeping now and I decided that I should write an update. Flashie pretends he doesn’t like these puppies, but he really does. He ‘specially likes Bruiser. I think that’s why it’s taking him so long to write this update. I like Bruiser too but I know he’s gotta find his own home where he gets extra special love. I know because I was a SCBR foster dog too. I got adopted on August 9th, 2009. Miss Jackie was my foster mom and took good care of me while I was there. But finding a furrever home is like nothing I can explain. It’s like a hamburger all to yourself- except better. I want Bruiser to have his hamburger home. Sure my furrever family gives him smooches and love here but it’s not the same when it’s your very own family. Someone has picked YOU! Oh man, it makes my heart just all mushy to think of the day I saw my new family. Someone picked ME!! I get so mushy when mom gives me those smiley eyes, rubs my belly and tells me I’m a good boy.
SO, you need to come and pick Bruiser. Mom says he’s gonna make someone really happy. She said he listens very well and really wants to please. She also told me to tell you that you can’t capture the expressiveness in his eyes with the pictures we have taken. She says he’ll lay down and look up at you and you’ll just sigh because you can see all the love in his heart. He’s still got that big round pink belly – it’s getting bigger and rounder even and mommy says it’s always so warm. I don’t know how it stays so warm- he’s always sticking it up in the air. Well, anyways, I think it’s time you PICK HIM – make his heart get all mushy and happy. You have to promise to take good care of him though and give him lots of love and training and treats. And – to make him feel extra special… when he’s riding in the car with you, stop at McDonalds and get him is very own hamburger. We dogs love that. Your friend, Bo 12/22/09 - Hi. My name is Flash. Me and Bo are the resident dogs here. We were planning on a nice quiet holiday with the family. Then my mom decided to foster some pesky fuzzballs. I thought, “Hey! Cool! Squeaky toys that move!!!”. But, from my viewpoint, it’s just gone downhill from there. Everyone comes over and fawns over these guys and me and Bo aren’t top dogs anymore. YOU! Yes, you! I need your help. Take this guy home. I’m not joking. I’m not sure why they call him Bruiser. He’s pretty laid back and cautious. My mom says out of the bunch of those rascals, he’s the one that really wants to please and the easiest of them to train. He’s the first to come when called and comes to the door when the potty bell rings. He’s usually the first one to go potty and come back in. I think he’s trying to kiss up to my mom so that she’ll keep him. My mom says me and Bo are #1, but I’m not buyin’ it. Specially cuz he’s always snugglin’ with her and she’s always talking that puppy talk to him. Blech, makes me sick, I tell ya! Yesterday he went for a drag on the leash!! Yep, a drag. Mom had to bribe him with treats to get him to walk. Eventually he did and he did pretty good but it was funny to watch from the warm comfort of my front window. Man, I’m glad I know how to walk on a leash. Wanna know somethin’ funny? Me and Bo have a secret name for Bruiser…. Lunchbox. That dog has the roundest puppy belly I’ve ever seen! And he lays on his back all the time with that big pink thing sticking up in the air. Mom says you can’t help but NOT pet it. Me and Bo just sit on the couch and giggle at him. SO..here’s the deal… you come get this dog and you’re doin’ 3 dogs a favor for the price of 1. How’s THAT for a bonus deal??? You’re giving this dog a furrever home, which he really wants, and you’re making me and Bo happy by getting this attention stealer out of here. Bruiser is totally crate trained. As a matter of fact he LIKES his crate and plays in it when the door is open! (Yuck! I HATE the crate.) By the time you get here, mom says he’ll be potty trained (another plus for you) and they don’t get on the couch or bed – (like me and Bo – you don’t want to adopt us cuz we’re couch hogs) just in case you don’t want dogs on the furniture. If you call now, we’ll even throw in a sit command absolutely free! Call now! Operators are standing by!! Your pal, Flash 11/16/09 - Hey everyone it's me Bruiser. My name may sound ruff but I am a sweetheart. Really I am. I am an awesome black and white boy. I just arrived at my new foster home along with my brothers yesterday. We have come a long way to get here. Our new FM says that she loves puppies and we are awesome. She was quite surprised that we are so well trained. We do our duty on the newspaper that she has laid out. We sleep through the night without a peep (bark or wimper). We do very well when we are alone. We got to meet a new cat today. He was the same size as us. I thought he was okay(for a cat). I am anxiously waiting to meet my new forever family. Will this be you. I am ready to spend the holidays in someone's nice warm arms. 11/12/09- Clancie's boys will be here!!! Clancie was a female fawn boxer who gave birth to these little guys and then didn't live through the day. Someone who rescues orphaned squirrels bottle fed them for their first few weeks and now they're the healthy guys you see here- with a hint of the "divil" in their eyes! Aren't you completely in love??? I know, I am!! I just bet that little fawn is the ringleader! |
