UPDATE 9/9/10 - Tipperon has really adjusted to our family, we love him to pieces.  He continues to die for our 3 children (so faithful and loyal); also, he follows me EVERYWHERE (he is my true shadow). He is not even scared of the vacuum, actually he likes the light on the front, and therefore, he is my cleaning partner as well. Tippi continues to be very protective of our home, possibly not such a bad thing; however, he doesn't like unfamiliar people (unfamiliar to him that is) walking by the house windows or yard.  Problem is, we live in a development so there is always going to be people walking down the street or playing out front. On the contrary, he has NOT showed any new signs of fear aggression.  My husband and I continue to monitor him closely and read his expressions when we are out in the streets but fortunately, so far so good. He is a good boy, really is, not to mention SO SO HANDSOME.
Tipperon is weighing in at 80 pounds.  He continues to have a very gassy belly and bizarre sounds rumbling around inside of him.  Sometimes, I believe this is painful for him.  As stated in the last post, we continue to keep him on a strict lamb and rice diet; for snack Tipperon gets apple slices with peanut butter and 100% sweet potato treats (high fiber treats only).  He loves both.
In October my family is going on vacation to Disney World.  We are going for ten nights; both of our Boxers will have to be boarded.  We are so scared that Tipperon is going to fear that we left him and we fear he will regress (fear aggression).  We will be boarding him at our Vet; one positive note, he and our female Boxer will have daily play time together, they will also be boarded next to each other so when he goes outside on his run he will see his girl next door thru the chain link fence.  So just scared, hope it all works out!

UPDATE 7/14/10 - 2nd update, GOOD NEWS!
T Man is doing great; his fear aggression is continuing to improve as well.  GET THIS, T, although very unsure, went up to my male neighbor that he previously lunged at and smelled him.  He circled him a few times and smelled some more but never did anything fear related.  After smelling him for quite a while, T walked away with no further interest in him.  After T walked away, we looked up at our neighbor and he had sweat beads all over his forehead,  Poor man! Althoughit scared the day lights out of our neighbor, this was so comforting to us!  Just had to let SCBR family know the good news. T Man is THE MAN!

UPDATE 6/29/10 - I'm a bit overdue for this update; such a hectic life! Sorry.  Well the T man is doing overall pretty well.  6/12/2010 - T Man went to the vet (Marne Hwy Vets).  The vet said he is an "extremely handsome" boy and overall healthy.  T Man is a bit underweight; he weighed in at 65lbs.  Vet thinks his healthy weight should be more like 73-75 area. The vet also suspects that he has irritable bowel disorder.  When the Vet checked his tummy is was very bloated and somewhat tender.  He also let 3 rip while at the Vets, I guess just a typical guy lol! Not to mention he has a lot of soft stools.
Other then the weight and bowel issues, T Man has "fear aggression", oddly enough this is mainly directed toward MEN.  This was determined by 2 different trainers. Both of whom said, this is a trait he has had for quite some time and WOULD NOT have developed in the weeks that we have had him.  At times this can be very scary!
Of the 2 trainers we chose to pick Obedient K9 Dog Training located in Eastampton NJ. During the evaluation, T Man lunged at the trainer, luckily did not bite him (thank God for well trained Trainers).  15 minutes through the evaluation T Man allowed the male trainer to rub his back, however, he NEVER allowed him to pat his head.  The trainer feels T Man has had a bad encounter with a male at some point in his life; this encounter has scared T Man.  At this point we are waiting for the "basket style muzzle" to come in.  T can't start training without this as he is considered "at risk of biting."  Soon as it arrives in the mail, T Man will be going to training 3x weekly.
T Man absolutely loves my 3 children and my female Boxer Dakota.  He has grown to accept my husband. He also loves the big fenced in yard.  T Man sleeps in his doggie bed at night and gets in bed with us in the A.M.  We always get woken up with wet Boxer kisses.
This is the scoop so far.  Obviously, it is a work in progress.  We will update soon. Bye for now.

6/11/10 - Tipperton has been adopted!

6/1/10 -
The " T " Man is doing just fine here. Tipperon is a very big, tall boy who is totally gorgous!!!! He has the softest fur and the sweetest face. He fits right in here with the other dogs. He loves to chew bones and likes his toys. He is very frendly and really likes the boys (human). We were watching a movie on Sunday night and he came and put his head on my shoulder (so Sweet).  He eats like a champ and does his business outside. We went for a walk, and he tends to zig zag, but he does great on a harness. Not a puller. He sleeps in the crate at night but, when he has earned it, I'm sure he will be upstairs with us. So far that's what I know about the " T " Man. I can't complain, he is a good boy. I'll update again when I know more. This sweet big boy wont be around long, get those apps in fast!!!

5/24/10 -
T-man came to us today from a very very sad owner who had to surrender him. Wait till you see him!! OMG, he is to die for!! Big, strong, handsome, boy. all I can say is wow ladies he's a looker. In all our chaos of the day yesterday he did great. Of course, he was a little scared but really seems to be fitting in well. Im going to get some great pics of him today outside. Hope every one is eating lots of good food this weekend. Happy Memorial day!!!!
