UPDATE 1/2/11 - Well we all made it through the holidays. Pete enjoyed christmas gifts and all the madness that goes with 6 kids 2 adults and 2 dogs opening and playing! He has made huge improvements with training and being outside on the invisible fence. We have some concerns about his hearing, he doesn't seem to respond well from his right side, and I have spoken to the vet and will be seeing her this coming month for his nueter and to continue our conversation. Pete is loving the free run of the yard with his sister and the kids. He was out today sledding and playing. He is getting big, but not as big as I thought he would be by now. Still eating like a champ! Alot!! He is wonderful with the kids and guests that stop by. The perfect boxer behavoir. We are so happy to have him here as a part of our family. He will be starting obidience classes soon, unfortunatly the trainer I used for Lulu has left the area so I am in search of a new one. More updates to come! Thank you soo much SCBR!

UPDATE 10/19/10 - Pete (formally Tanker) is amazing! He has been so wonderful with all the kids and his new sister. His puppy personality took about 2 weeks to kick in but it's here! And all in all he has wonderful behavior. He went to the vet last week to get all UTD on his shots and get heartguard and frontline.  Also to have the lump on his leg checked out. He has also had loose stools for the past few weeks so that was another concern. At first we thought it was due to the change in diet but that should have cleared up after a week or so. So our vet just emailed and I have some meds to pick up. Also his lump is a "Histiocytoma" and she says it should disappear in a few months or so. But still nothing to worry about. He weighed in at 22lbs. He has grown quite a bit since I picked up a little guy in Jersey. Pete got 3 shots, going back next week on the 28th for the rest. He loves to run and play in the yard with Lulu his boxer sister. He has been a blessing for her too, at 8 years old she  is showing the young one she can run jump, play and tell him who's the boss and when play time is over. Pete still looks at the reflection in the glass on out oven, I think he may think it's one of his brothers staring back at him. Either way he leaves lovely noise art behind. He is learing stairs, and he has just started to learn how to follow Lulu up into the big picture window in the living room. Which I love cause they look so cute and slightly intimidating up there. So, I cant thank SCBR enough for this! Pete is wonderful, we love him so very much, and while we cant wait for him to grow out of his puppy stage, he is such a ball of fun, frustration and laughs! Wish I could post up some pictures for all to see! Thank you again SCBR, Dee, all and any vols. that got Pete to SCBR.

UPDATE 9/25/10 - Our first update for Tanker (Know known to us as Pete) is all good! He has adjusted well. He is enjoying his new home, boxer sister Lulu, playing with all 6 kids we have here! He has been wonderful and so well behaved. Loves to dance with our 2 youngest children. He has slowly been changing into the little pup Dee told us about before adoption. He loves to follow, learn and play with Lulu our 8year old boxer female, which I believe was a must for him, I think he would be lost without her. They have done well together and Lulu has been great at showing Pete the routines we use here. Within the first few hours of being here Pete learned by watching Lulu when he comes in after going potty outside he can sit in the kitchen to get a treat. We are still working on his housebreaking, and today has been his best day yet. Almost the whole day without an "accident". He got a little to excited when everyone got home! He is sleeping all night in his crate. Loving his playtime free to r  un with Lulu in the yard, and learning who is the boss around here. I took Pete and Lulu for a ride today to my work, Pete was not impressed with being back in the car in the crate. He looked very concerned to the point he got sick. But I think was very happy when we returned home. A little reassurance this is his home forever. He is still adjusting and changing everyday, but I think he will continue to do wonderful as the weeks go by. He will be going to the vet soon for a check up and schedule his nueter. His cuts on his head are for the most part healed completly thanks to the wonderful care of Dee. All in all he is a joy to have here!

9/19/10 - I was adopted today!

9/17/10 - Hi, Tanker here!  Well, first my brother Trucker left with these really nice people who brought him a new collar and a new leash and told him that he has a new big brother at home.  Ok, I dealt with that, my brother Tracker was still here and even though we missed the big brute, we muddled through.  But now, Foster Mama tells me that Tracker has found HIS real forever family!!  She did tell me that a family wanted to take me really, really badly but their girl dog got sick and so they couldn't. But at least that made me feel like someone out there wants ME too!  And, I am 12 weeks old now, I am very proud to say!  I even decided that it's ok for Foster Mama to cut my nails.  I thought it might hurt, but it was ok, just hard to stay still long enough. A pup has a lot of things to do,ya know!
I don't wanna brag or nuttin', but I think I'm the best one of the bunch!  I'm handsome and charming and if I do say so myself, I'm a lot of fun!  Foster Mama is really happy that I go to the bathroom outside too!  She's not so happy when I also go inside the house, but she says that's cause I'm still a baby and that I am soooooooooooooo smart that I will learn that skill real quickly.  I don't know why, but it seems to be somethin' really important to learn, so I will do my very best to work on it!  I learned to sleep all night and not make a lot of noise that would wake up the other doggies that live here-we sleep in the same room with some of them and they seem ok with that.  We like the BIG dogs a lot!  I would love to have a sister dog who could show me the ropes of how it goes at my forever family's house-it's always better to have a friend anyway!  Did I mention how handsome I am?  Well, in case I forgot, I am VERY handsome with a little cute on the side!  Foster Mama said she's gonna give me a lot of extra snuggles after Tracker goes to his new home-so I'll be fine while I wait for you guys to find me.  But don't wait too long or some other lucky family with snap me up and you'll be very sad :(    Come on, come and get me, I'm really cool!

Love to all from Tanker!!

9/2/10 - Introducting Trucker, Tracker and Tanker :) three ten week old male white babies who are biological siblings :)  They were born on 6/12/10.  They are all white, except for Trucker who has a fawn tail. Just the top of his tail is fawn and it's darned adorable!
Oh my goodness, these guys are just the cutest, sweetest, most lovable little sweethearts ever!   They arrived here in NJ yesterday and at first, they were a little scared, poor babies-a little hesitant and a bit reserved. They had a nice bath outside in the pool and that seemed to help them to settle in and feel more comfortable. They had some dinner-which they seemed to really enjoy, they did what puppies do after they eat, they had a good nap.  Later last evening, they went outside again and romped around getting the lay of the land, had some more food, and sacked out for the night. I have had a lot of puppies in my care along the way and I was absolutely thrilled that they slept all night without a peep and woke up with a clean crate! Right outside this morning and lots of watering the lawn lol before a good breakfast. LOTS of poop, inside and outside, LOTS of playing and LOTS of napping. I am now seeing their personalities begin to emerge and they are loving all the toys and the freedom of having lots of space to run around in.
*Note- Because I'm a puppy, I'll need someone who is home most of the time- stay-home, work at home, retired.
