UPDATE 8/24/10 - Tai is doing fantastic.  He is working towards his diploma in obedience training, his graduation takes place next week.  He has met some of our family dogs and many family members.  Tai has not been needed to crated and loves the freedom of the house.  He does so well in the house alone.  Tai goes on many car rides and jumps when he hears the word ride or walk.  He has recently learned how to give a HI-FIVE.  We are so happy to have Tai!

UPDATE 7/20/10 - Hello,
It has been almost 1 month since we have adopted Tai and we are absolutely in love.  He has been a perfect addition to our family.  Tai has been on many road trips in the last few weeks.  He even got to check out the beach and the local bands perform in the park.  He is so well behaved and everyone just loves to play with him.  Tai has also been learning a bit more commands and is the "teacher's pet" in training class.  He would rather lay on the floor instead of barking at the other dogs.  Tai has also graduated from being crate trained to now being able to roam the house alone.  Tai's biggest issue, or I should say mom and dad's biggest issue is that he loves to sleep on the couch when we leave him along.  :)  He is so sneaky.  Tai has been for a check up with the local vet and received a clean bill of health.  He did have a minor case of calydis, but it seems to have gone away with some medication and a bland diet, we personally think that he would rather eat ground beef w  ith rice then his dog food.  Thank you again for helping us find Tai, we couldn't be happier!

UPDATE 7/4/10 - Tai has been adjusting very well into his new home.  Since he's moved in he has met his neighbors and doggie cousins and loves them.  Tai went to the vet and did very well, he's got a clean bill of help.  Tai will be enrolled in obedience training, starting in a couple of weeks.  Tai is great on the leash and loves his walks.  He is slowly learning how to adjust to being off the leash, he's still got a ways to go.  We love him and we are so glad he is part of our family.

6/24/10 - Tai has been adopted!

6/2/10 -
Now that Tai said his peace, I have a few updates also. Tai has made come a long way in the two weeks he has been with me. At first he was a barking, crate resisting, baby gate jumping fellow. He is now mostly quiet and just needs to be gently lead to the crate. I will be trying him outside the crate soon. Tai's day consists of 2 (sometimes 3) walks a day and he absolutely loves his walks. He is also initiating play with Pheobe. He is a little clumsy when he is playing because he is so big, but is funny to watch. When we are one on one, he will play a great game of fetch. He actually brings the toy back to you and puts it in your hand. Then he gets bored and you have to go find the toy. Tai accompanied Pheobe and I to a parade on Monday. He was a perfect angel. He loved the kids, adults and other dogs there. He did not like the drums too much though. He also spend a few hours at a cookout. Again, an angel. There were children running around from ages 2-7 and he didn't knock one down (more than I can say for Pheobe). I think Tai would be a great addition to any home.  He is well behaved, walks well on leash, though he is very strong and loves everyone and dog that he has met.  He is a great listener too.

5/25/10 - OMG. I think my foster mom is crazy She brings out this bunny and puts it on the ground outside. I know we are not supposed to play with bunnies but this bunny does not move. She then attaches the hose to it and it starts spraying water at me and the little one. I quickly realize it is hot and this is spraying cool water at us. I think I turned into a puppy again. I was running through it and drinking it. Then I decided to just stand over it. It kept my belly so cool. I loved every minute of it. After a while the crazy lady takes the bunny off it and sprays me with it. What is going on now? She lathered me up with this nice smelling stuff and rinsed me off. I think I just had a bath. I liked that too. Now I smell good and am soft as a puppy. Well that is my adventure for today.

5/22/10 -
Hi everyone.  It's Tai and I am looking for my forever family.  I saw foster mom's previous write up and I have to clear some things up.  She said I bark a lot.  So yeah I bark sometimes but I now realize that she is going to feed me and take me for walks, it's just on a different schedule that I was used to. Now that I know that I no longer have to remind her.  I am also learning that it is not so bad when she leaves so I have been fairly quiet then too.  I do hesitate when getting in the crate but I know there is a yummy treat waiting in there for me. I am meeting lots of new people and I love them all.  I greet them with my happy sway.   I get to walk with foster mom and the young one here. That shows you how good I am on a leash. I don't pull and if I get a little ahead foster mom tells me to heal and I do immediately.  I also don't too much attention to other dogs or animals when I am walking.  If you like walking I am your man.  I am always ready for a walk.  I like car rides too.  I also snuck upstairs and found these two fuzzy creatures here.  One hissed at me and the other hid from me.  I must say I am curious about them but don't want to eat them.  I may be able to live with them but I can't say for sure yet.  Well I guess that's it for now.  I am kind of pooped out from walking and playing with the little one.  She got me to play with toys.  I thought I was passed that age but we had a lot of fun.

5/18/10 -
Tai arrived on Sunday and is beginning to settle in.  He is big boy with long legs.  He has met Pheobe and they are doing well together.  He is very much a love bug and greets everyone with what I call a boxer sway.  He is too big to wiggle so his butt sways from side to side. He likes to be with his people and will look for me if I am out of sight.   Tai doesn't have much interest in toys but he loves his walks.  He is excellent on a leash.  Tai is working on being crated and will go into it hesitantly.  One opportunity that Tai has to work on is barking.  He will bark if he thinks it is dinner time or time for a walk.  If he's tired of playing outside and wants us all to go in he will let you know about it.  He will also bark when you leave the house. This is something we are working on and his is making slow progress.  More to come as he settles in.

5/15/10 - Tai is coming back to rescue this weekend.

UPDATE 11/30/09 -   Hello everybody I hope all is well. I wanted to give an update on Tai and say first thank you to the family who gave my family the opportunity to adopt a fanatastic dog. We all love him very much and I see such a positive change in the household. My two boys are learning alot by having Tai here. Kyle is learning the responsibility of picking up poop while Ethan learns that Tai is not a horse and does not appreciate him trying to ride him like one.He is a great companion very, very patient and we can see by the way he reacts to things and the love  he provides that he came from a wonderfull, wnderfull home.So in ending Tai is still doing great we feel that he has been with us forever and we will continue to provide love and caring for him, just as long as Ethan stays off his back. Have great holidays!

UPDATE 11/6/09 - Hello everyone! Tai is doing really well, He did just have a case of very annoying fleas. We combatted them with good ole frontline. He is alot more comfortable now. He is also just finishing up on a yummy rawhide, need to get more!

UPDATE 7/18/09 - It has been two months since adopting Tai and he seems to have settled in very nicely. So far we attended one training class and Tai seems very eager to please. The kids as well as us adults are enjoying him he is a great dog.Tai still has trouble when we leave he cries and whimpers a bit but we're working on it,I take it as a compliment. Tai did have a problem with running away if he got loose but last week I was giving him a bath outside and he got loose. He started running down the street and I was about to go after him when I noticed him turning around his leash in his mouth and came right back to me. It was very exciting I felt well I guess he does'nt mind us that much. That is all for now!
