9/18/10 - Roo was spayed yesterday, brought UTD on shots and HW Tested neg. She is now fully vetted.
She is apparently on an anti smoking campaign, ( like Mayor Bloomberg in NY)   She steals and  attempts to eat my cig's but will give them up promptly when you remind of the smoking age.  lol lol
She did a little better in the car ride but there is still room for improvement. She is just a little scared. I will  make sure I take her for short rides this week. She is young enough to push through it :)
She breezed right though her procedure and looking at her this evening you would never know she just had an operation. She is just a sweet as they come and so fully of Boxer personality. Roo is officially ready to go to her forever home.

This baby is the true blue Boxer puppy in all her glory. She is sweet, smart, curious, charming and into everything :) Roo likes to bring me things.. she has discovered the toilet paper, socks, an old tennis ball. She is very proud of herself when she has a new discovery!! She does give it right to me and is happy to trade for an appropriate dog toy.
She absolutely loves her stuffed animals, cardboard and   empty plastic bottles. She keeps herself busy for hours:) She loves to snuggle and beams when I tell her what a good girl she is :) She knows her name, comes bouncing in from the backyard when called, her expressions are priceless. She honestly makes me laugh all day long. She is everything a Boxer person could ask for in this wonderful breed.   Roo has completely recovered from her kennel cough and will be spayed on 9/16.

9/4/10 -
I am so proud of Miss Roo, she has had to make a tough adjustment over the last 24 hours.   Her playmate Walker, went to his forever home yesterday morning. She has had to adjust to life with the senior grumpy dogs. You see, life playing with the other preadolescent puppy was rough and tumble.   The older folks here don't play hard any more. These old folks grab a spot on the couch and chill.   So, after attempting to engage the gray ones all day yesterday ( and getting corrected by them) she  found some toys to play with, she keeps herself amused by flipping them in the air and giving chase.
Roo hung out on the couch this evening with the big guys, she sat so pretty like a calm  little girl. It is so funny to watch her expressions when she hears a noise or something on the TV.   She cocks her head and listens to everything so intently. She is a quick study and is learning how to behave like a good canine citizen.
This is not a dog that has had the easy life of living indoors on a couch but she is coming around and clearly loving it.   She continues to heal from the kennel cough and will be spayed shortly.

Hi everyone Roo here. My FM tells me I am becoming such a sweet young lady. I am learning manners every day. I am sharing toys with my foster brother and the resident dogs. My spay procedure was postponed until Thursday( Dr. S had an emergency).
I am so smart and have come such a long way on my house training. My FM lets me right out in the morning and I take care of my business and then Walker and I romp for 45 minutes ( I love to play Tug Of War) then we rest before we have breakfast. I am now fully crate trained and I love my little condo. More updates to come after I am spayed.

8/17/10 -
Hey Folks, Roo here.. life is just one big toy box for me. I love everything.   My FM has some really cool stuff to play with, socks, water bottles, tissue paper. She takes this things away and gives me a stuffed toy. The stuffed toy is ok, but I'd really prefer the wrapping the toy came in. I am TRUELY a Boxer puppy and my world is like FAO SCHWARTZ- anything I find is my new toy.
FM tells me I am just as sweet as they come and we are working on something called manners.
She thinks I may  have lived outside most of my short life and I am just getting the hang of being a puppy good citizen. I will get my shots and be spayed next Tuesday 8/24 and THEN I will be ready to go to my forever home!!!
I need a home that will be patient and teach me all the things a pup needs to know. I need a home that will continue my house training and will understand I am a baby and my bladder has not fully developed. I might have some potty accidents. I only want to please you. Please be patient and I will learn :)

Hi everyone Roo here. I found my way into SCBR through another rescue. I have met such nice folks along the way. My foster mom has the best food  ( as you can see I need it).  I am eating 2 meals a day with roasted chicken. I also get a yogurt  snack at lunch time. I just love the menu here.
I am too skinny to be spayed right now. I need a good week or two of TLC and I will be ready to go.   I am moving through all these changes pretty well but I was not fond of the car ride. I got really scared and wanted to climb out the window. My foster mom tells me we have to try it again after I settle in to the new digs.
More to come as I get to know my foster mom  and foster brother and sisters.
