UPDATE 7/1/10 - Where to begin?!...
Pazel is a such a goofball Oh my gosh he makes us laugh.  He loves loves loves rope.  He will run crazy with it. We have started tying it off so he can play tug O war as we don't have the stamina he does. He is also fond of balls and will run around tossing it in the air and than chase it. Now that he has figured out how his legs work, he is quite the runner.  All I can say is thank God we have a lot of property.  This boy has turned into high energy pup.  The small boy we brought home is no more. He has gotten very tall and weighing 52 lbs now. He has learned sit and lay, through puppy classes.  He has no interest in learning about staying or to respond to come/here, though when called he usually comes by Name.  I woke up the other morning to find 2 boys watching tv, a daddy sleeping on the couch and a very happy boxer boy sprawled on the floor half hidden by piles of stuffing from his dog bed.  Yes indeed a bored boxer is a bad boxer. And a sleeping daddy got to clean up a  big mess.

Note from Pazel
Pazel here, In my defense I need a brother, I mean the 5 little people are great and they like to get dirty and drop food everywhere but I just can't play with them the same way us boxers like to. For some reason the kiddos get upset when they get nibbled on, Woof. I will just have to keep telling mom how much she needs to get me a brother or atleast a foster sibling.

UPDATE 5/18/10 - It has been 2 months now and Pazel continues to be the best pup ever.  He just loves the kids toys, the trash, shoes, any paper that is laying around or in a file but he can get his mouth on it,  Oh and he enjoys his own chew toys as well, but like any Toddler pup, what isn't his is soooo much better. He is determind that the stray kitty that the kids (and us big kids too) have adopted as our garage kitty is his personal play toy.  Our two inside cats are not bothered by him particulary but the white fluffy thing (cat) that is outside is fair game.  We keep reminding him that cats are not chew toys.  Sassy is learning to just lay down and Pazel tends to back off a bit.  Pazel has decided it is his duty to alert us of anyone near the house.  We are trying to break him of this habit as it is becoming a problem.  We just give people treats to give Pazel so he will learn it is ok.  He is still very small weight wise (from all the running he does) but he eats all the time and is getting taller.  He is such a love bug.  We couldn't have asked for a better addition to our family.

UPDATE 4/14/10 - Pazel has been with us a month now and he is doing so great! He looks like he has grown several inches in height and he is now 39 lbs.  He eats all the time but also runs hard. He has mostly overcome his fear of walking through threashholds although he delights in trying to convince us otherwise when he is ready for bed and does not want to go out one last time.  He is such a good car rider and almost always goes with us.   He and the kids love to go to the pond and Pazel has discovered fish, hmmmm.  I think he has learned his lesson with the horses as they have chased him out of there pasture several times, now he just sits and watches them and tries eating the bugs that are flying around his head.  Baxter comes over often and he and Pazel are best buds.  They love tug o "whatever object they can find"  and Pazel is running almost as fast as Baxter now.  Yea for building up those muscles. He is a huge cuddle bug and loves his blanket over him at bedtime.  Understandably he   stole our hearts and suckered us into letting him share our bed with him.  He starts puppy classes in May, but lucky for us he is very well behaved.

UPDATE 3/21/10 - Horray it's been a week since we adopted Pazel and he is doing great!  When he first came home he would not cross threshholds or eat without being hand fed.  Within a day he was running around and slowly learning to be a puppy.  We brought my mothers boxer over (Baxter)  and he started showing Pazel the ropes.  Pazel loves running around and finding sticks.  He sleeps through the night and has only had one accident and that was my bad as I didn't take him out after he ate.  The kids informed me they walked in poop in the house.  Pazel has discovered horse poop and loves it(we are trying to break this habit) and he went from be the quiet well manored little boy to chewing the kids toys and taking my files out of the cabinet and eating the paper.  Gosh he is the cutest.  Puppy class in a month, unfortunately we had just missed the class starting by a week.  We just love him so much!  So I was curious what kind of a name Pazel is and looked it up.  It means "God's Gold" in Heb  rew.  I find this very fitting as he truely is amazing.  He just needs lots of cuddles.

3/14/10 - I was adopted today!! I get to live with a fun family on a farm. I get a new friend named Baxter who visits and I get to learn what horses are!

3/2/10 -
Pazel is doing so much better here. You wouldn't recognize him in a week's time as he is a completely different puppy. He is not scared of thresholds at all anymore, and is playful and energentic. Sometime he cowers and runs in his kennel, but not nearly as much as he used to.
He learns quickly and is almost housebroken. We taught him how to sit/stay already. When he arrived, we couldn't get him to walk on a leash and he would barely move without one indoors. Now, he prances around on it and he's improving with that too. He has a lot to offer to a loving family who will give him lots of love and time. He loves attention and gives lovely boxer kisses. Pazel is one of a kind and a wicked cutie pie. We love him. He eats a lot of food and drinks a lot of water, but he's just a growing boy! He needs to be taken right outside when he comes out of the kennel. He can't wait to meet his new forever family.

2/21/10
- Pazel came into rescue late last night. He is a very timid puppy and really likes the kennel. Savannah gave him a bath this morning and he liked that. He does not like to cross threshholds for some reason, therefore so far we have been carrying him outside for bathroom breaks. He is already improving though as last night he wouldn't move more than a few steps and this morning he is walking to whoever calls him.
He is very shy but his personality is also a very sweet one. Not very trusting, but will come for treats and let you pat and scratch him. Loud noises scare him and as always it will take a few days to get him to settle.
He is very underweight, 35 lbs. He is small but we are free feeding him and he loves this! He likes out dog to be the leader and he follows. If you pretend not to be watching he'll follow you around. He loves his bones and chews them in our tiny dog's dog bed. I think when he learns to be more trusting he will be a very nice, playful puppy.
