UPDATE 4/30/11 - Mugsy has adjusted perfectly. He is still very playful. He is sweet and cuddly. He gets to go to the dog park, doggie daycare, and play with other family member's dogs. He has a great personality and gets along with all dogs, every size and breed. He is adored.

UPDATE 1/30/11/ - Mugsy is doing great. He likes to go out in the woods with my sisters boxer. He is still going into the crate when we are not home but I think we may try leaving him out soon and see how he does.

UPDATE 1/2/11 - Mugsy is adjusted. He is apart of this family. We love him and we feel blessed to have him. He is calming down a lot. We try to do a lot with him because of his high energy level. We walk/run with him, take him to dog parks, he plays with other family member's dogs, and sometimes he even goes to doggie daycare. He passed obedience school. They even said if they could give an award for most improved, Mugsy would get it. It has helped some. He is starting to understanding what "off" means, even though we need to remind him often. He is learning. Other than then that, everything is good. His health is fine and he is full of love.

UPDATE 11/30/10Mugsy has adjusted very well in his new home. He had his first experience with snow last week and was a little bit confused. His behavior is not perfect but he has made a lot of progress in this first month. He enjoys playing with my sisters Boxer and the pug who lives next door to us.

UPDATE 11/6/10 - Mugsy is doing great. He had a few bad habits, such as jumping on people. We have been working on that, and he already is doing much better. He really seems to be adjusting quick. He really bonded with Jon. I think he prefers males. We haven't been on many trips, except for the 5.5 hr drive home when we picked Mugsy up. He was wonderful in the car. He mostly sleep. His health is good. He loves to eat! He still has the bald spot on his butt. The hair doesn't seem to be growing back. The foster home gave us medication, and we give it to him every morning. We start obedience training next Saturday. I will send in all the information on that in the near future. I don't have it on me right now. We love him and he is very loving and playful.

11/1/10 - Mugsy has been adopted!

10/18/10 -
What a week will do for a busy boxer boy. Muggers, (as I call him)  Is doing soo much better. I will admit when he first got here I thought oh boy what did I get my self into. But he is really learning and setteling in great here. He hasnt had any accidents in the house,He goes to the door everytime,he has been great playing with Lina, they tire each other out. He is a perfect gentleman on our walks. Im very impressed with his behavior.  He is a love bug and just wants to be with people. We were watching football yesterday and he just played with toys and rested(on my lap) of course. Mugsy loves to give kisses, sometimes he will kiss the boys into giggle fits on the floor. So Mugsy is doing great im proud of him.  He is waiting for his forever home, give us a call, he will be forever greatful, from death row to the front row. He is a wonderful boy.

10/12/10 -
Mugsy arrived on Sat after a long trip, but he was as sweet as candy, He didnt bother a thing on the trip and slept most of the way.  He loves everyone and everything. Sometimes he loves too much and just needs to be corrected. Remember, he is a young boy and is still learning.  He walks really well on a harness and loves excercise. Mugsy wants to play and just be with people. My son, who is 7, already thinks he is neater than a new pair of sneakers. He was just neutered and is resting and healing. I'll up date more when we get to know him better. But I do know is is the biggest love bug and wants to give his forever home lots of Boxer kisses.

- This handsome man came to us at almost his last second. Our intake angel found out about him at a NJ shelter where he was going to be PTS this morning for no other reason than policy. He's safe and sound now, taking a nap in his new foster home. No idea how such a sweet love of a dog ended up at a shelter, but he's one of the reasons we're all ready open our homes with an hour's notice! Stay tuned to follow his journey!
