UPDATE 5/1/10 - Ms Dolly is doing A-ok. The only thing that we need to work on now-a-days are her walking skills. She has a phobia of new people and dogs but I've learned that all she needs is a little shake of a can with money in it to re-focus her on us and our walking and she simmers down. She is a delight and has really made her way into our hearts. Leeroy, her brother loves her and she looks upto him like the big brother he is. Not much new to report. We have decided to take them both to Intermediate dog training, as it will only help. That starts this week and am looking forward to seeing their mad skillz improve even more!

UPDATE 4/1/10 - Dolly is doing great at home. No more house breaking accidents and she is definitely "in the routine". She loves her brother leeroy and he loves her (though he pretends he's too cool for school). Everybody thinks Dolly has a perpetual smile on with her black rimmed mouth but we know that she is just happy to be living the good life. I think our dogs live better lives than we do sometimes...Dolly loves to lay on her back and watch TV with her folks, it seems like she pays close attention to the shows but actually she just basks in the attention she gets from her fam.

Her and Leeroy have been enjoying the backyard romp whenever it's not down-puring with rain. I am out of work early today and have off tomorrow while my husband has to work. We are going to live outside for the next few days and grasp every little breath of nice weather we can....it's supposed to rain, again starting monday (i think).

The mange is going away...she def looks better and actually has too much hair right now and has been shedding...that time of year!

She received her Family Manners Obedience Training certificate and I will be sending via mail as soon as I remember. I will not say that she passed with flying colors but i didn't pass school with flying colors either and i turned out ok. Actually, i found another school that is cheaper and i think i am going to sign her up for intermediate class, if i can.

UPDATE 3/1/10 - Dolly is very much out of her shell at home. We are still building her confidence outside the home. Her training classes are helping her with this alot. Dolly is still shy around new people but once she knows you, she's ok with you. It's funny to watch her parade around town (as long as she is right next to leeroy or my heel), she has a real swagger! Every once in a while she forgets she has no idea where she is and makes sure she is on our shadows. She is getting along with her training and knows sit-down-come, we do this without leeroy being around,as he doesnt let her focus- he can't stand to be apart from her.  She likes to chew on things and has ripped several socks and destroyed a scarf of mine so not sure she will ever be allowed to be left uncrated when she is older. She also likes to bite on leeroy's ears, we are not happy about this and are trying to break this habbit as she has made him bleed. This seems to be her only quality that REALLY needs to change in our e  yes. the trainer said that if Leeroy doesnt mind than we shouldnt but leeroy is a mush. Dolly's mange is clearing a little, it looks like, anways. I hope to see more of a change in the next few weeks.
Dolly and Leeroy are a cute pair and i think they have really taken nicely to each other. We are so glad that she found her way to us.

UPDATE 2/5/10 - DOLLY IS ADJUSTING WELL AND LEEROY (HER ADOPTED BRO) IS GETTING ACCUSTOMED TO HAVING A SHADOW. HOUSE BREAKING TRAINING IS SLOW BUT SHE DOES GOOD BY EXAMPLE PEEING WHEN LEEROY PEES/POOPS SO IT IS ALL ABOUT GETTING HER ON SCHEDULING.
DOLLY HASN'T GONE ON ANY LONG TRIPS OTHER THAN HER RIDE HOME AND ANOTHER HOUR TRIP TO VISIT GRANDPARENTS LAST NITE. SHE DOES VERY WELL IN THE CAR.
DOLLY HAS GENERALIZED DEMODEX MANGE AND IS BEING TREATED BY OUR VET FOR IT. WE HOPE IT WILL HEAL FAST BUT REALISTICALLY WILL PROBABLY TAKE A MONTH OR TWO.
I JUST SIGNED HER UP FOR FAMILY MANNERS CLASS STARTING FEB 10- 6 WEEK CLASS AT THE SAME PLACE LEEROY ATTENDED.
SHE IS JUST SUCH A LOVEBUG. WE LOVE HER ALREADY AND ARE EXCITED TO GET HER DOING SOME COMMANDS, AS WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET ON THIS.

1/30/10 - Dollie was adopted today.

1/27/10 -
I don't know who is getting this little charmer, but you will fall in love in an instant!  She is the tiniest little thing-maybe 25pounds :)   She will cuddle in your lap, give you a million kisses and look at you adoringly lol  She is a total and complete charmer!   When she first arrived from Aunt Liz's, she was quiet and reserved and a bit frightened-but today, she's a BOXER PUPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!  She loves toys, she loves food, she loves running!  She HATES the cold lol  I had to put one of my Chloe's fleeces on her-Chloe weighs in the neighborhood of 80pounds so you can imagine how funny that looks lol  But she cuddled all up inside that thing and was happy as a clam.  So whoever gets her might need to fashion some sort of coat for her to wear outside-she wouldn't pee or poop this morning, too cold for the munchkin. But she did fine at Aunt Liz's going outside to pee and poop and has done fine for the rest of the day even if she doesn't make the best fashion statement in Chloe's coat lol

I am thoroughly enjoying spending time with our Dolly girl, she is a real sweetie
pie!
