UPDATE 7/31/10 - We have had Ceasar-boy for 1 wonderful week. He walked in the front door and was home. His adjustment has been flawless. He is in love with our Maya (3 year old boxer girl). They play and run and then play some more. They are constant companions.
He is so good with the kids. They just love him to pieces. They love to cover him with their security blankies.  He went to the vet and all is well (we knew it would be) but just wanted to be sure. He weighed 46 lbs. I feel like he gains a pound a day. He is no longer too skinny and we cant see his spine. No more blood in the stool, but its still loose. It will just take some time.
We love our boy. He was the dynamic in our family was missing

7/24/10 - Ceasar has been adopted!

7/9/10 -
What a great little guy this Ceasar boy is. He lovessssssss to run, and run and bounce and run. Yesterday he got to spend the whole day and evening outside because I was busy in the yard and pool. His favorite game so far is "chase me and catch me if you can" with my boxer boys. He's found his voice too and has a puppyish bark to him, then he runs and bounces again like a gazelle, he even bounces when he does the play bow. Ceasar is very friendly with my boxers and my Boston Terrier, and would make a great companion with other dogs. He is very gentle but can when excited jump on you, a firm "off" and he stops. I think he would be fine with young children, but you need to remember he is only 2 yrs old, and can "forget" himself sometimes. But there is not a mean bone in his body, he is just the sweetest boy.
As for his crate, well, I can't say he is really fond of it, but he settles down and rests after a few minutes of fussing. He also always pushes his bedding to the back and seems happy to just lay on the crate bottom. This of course could change when the weather gets cooler as he really has no extra meat on his bones....we are working on this and he has an awesome appetite so I'm hoping to see some weight gain soon.

7/4/10 -
We have only had Ceasar home for a few days now, but he definatley has a sparkling personality. He is very sweet, submissive to my 4 dogs yet will instigate play with my Boston Terrier and my deaf white boy. With my 12 yr old female he just licks her face and wiggles his butt at the same time. He has full house privilages simply because he is so good, completely housebroken and just seems to appreciate having some fur friends to socialize with.

He does need a little push to enter his crate, and although I can't say he "loves his crate" he is accepting of it as time goes on.
There will be much more to tell you about Ceasar as we get to know him better, but for now, I would have to say he will be a wonderful addition to any home.
