8/27/10 - I was adopted today!

8/7/10
My Foster Mom has spent the past couple of weeks really whipping me into shape so when I do go to my forever home I will be able to maintain my status as "the perfect one".  Getting neutered wasn't so bad, got my nails clipped, (but passed on the pink nail polish unlike that silly poodle next to me), I got ear drops for my yeast infection, and even met the vet office cat nose to nose (we exchanged numbers but she really isn't my type)..........(FYI, the vet removed a golf ball size tumor from my right leg and everything seems to be ok )  Needless to say it was a full day at the spa and i came out looking mighty spiffy. Back at home things are pretty much status quo but i REALLY lucked out this summer because my foster mom just got central air conditioning....OHHHhhhhh yessssssss..... I am definitely living the good life but I am truly looking forward to some nice person out here thinking they need me to be a part of their family.

WOWWW !!!! What a difference a week will make when an animal gets what he needs to thrive.  If the dog food bowl is empty, he will pick it up and deposit it at my feet. It really gets your attention when it hits the tile floor. Brutus and our Miss Molly are now officially like "peas and carrots". It's been heartwarming to watch the two of them become buddies. For those of you that want a boxer that is already broken-in with no muss-no fuss, this is the guy for you. Totally house broken, does not counter surf, no chewing obsession, is not a drooler (no boxer bubbles even when you are hand feeding him), does not get up on furniture, and has very positive reactions to both male and female strangers.  We have dubbed him Saint Brutus, the Perfect One. Get in line quickly to rescue this awesome dog from me before I get too attached.

6/20/10-
Brutus was delivered today and he is a BEAUTIFUL cinnamon color coat, with mournful eyes. He is long, tall, and skinny, but much improved according to the shelter since he arrived there. He also needs to be neutered and a booster shot for rabies. I think food and lots of love will be the answer to his quiet and pensive demeanor. We picked Brutus up at the Thruway Exit and could tell that the Erie Humane volunteers were very taken by this dog. I would like to thank them for going the extra mile with this rescue.
