| 12/12/09 - Vito will be staying with his new foster family due to all of his medical issues. They love him and he is a very happy boy there too! 10/17/09 - Happy Fall from Vito! Just wanted to update everyone on how I'm doing. Things seem to be heading on the right path for me. I'm taking a little pill for diabetes insipedius to help control my drinking/peeing. And boy has that cut way down. Foster family is still working on it, but life is getting much better for me. I'm still a mellow guy. Foster lady thinks I'm funny when I run because I don't move very fast, it's more like a trot than run. And remember, I get along great with the dogs here both male and female. And I listen really well.....foster lady calls me and I come or she tells me to do something and I listen. She's very impressed with what a great guy I am. And I think you would be too when you bring me into your home. So put some serious thought into adopting me. Thanks. 9/12/09 - Hey it’s me Vito! Guess what, I went to the lake this past week and got to laze in the sun on the dock....it was great. Plus I got to show off what a good guy I am off leash whenever the other dogs and people went for long walks down the quiet country lane. I listened so well when they wanted me to come along or just stick with them. And more people friends got to meet me and they thought I was great. Here’s some other news, the people might be getting closer to figuring out my desire for water; hope soon. Well, cross your fingers for me that they get it figured out because I’ll make a great pal for someone or a family. 8/15/09 - It’s me Vito. If you’re looking for a mellow guy, then I’m your man. Up here in Maine, I’ve been getting daily walks and find it great, plus I’m excellent on a leash. I also really like car rides and ride very nicely. There’s bones sitting around the house and the resident dogs don’t mind me chewing on them from time to time. I show off my happy boxer butt wiggle whenever the people come home. Head rubs and kisses make me happy too. Not overly interested in hanging outside unless everyone else is out there. I get along great with the resident dogs too. People are still trying to figure out why I’m crazy for water, but they haven’t yet; maybe soon. Got room in your home for me? 8/4/09 - Just a quick update on Vito. What a sweet guy he is! Vito is enjoying chewing on bones, following us around the house, and going for walks. He walks great on a leash. He’s still pretty mellow but is showing that boxer wiggle more and more when he’s happy. Vito hangs with the crew without a problem. Easy grooming with this guy, no issues with bathing or nail trimming. He and Melina are both being treated for UTIs at the moment and once that’s done, they’ll get their shots up to date. Vito is also crazy for water, so we’re working on getting that figured out. Don’t let his age put you off! More photos soon. 7/28/09 - Meet Vito. He arrived in ME on Sunday afternoon after a long journey from NJ. He and Melina are owner surrenders. Vito has natural ears and a beautiful brindle coat. Since he’s been here, he’s been quite a mellow gentleman. He seems pretty easy going on car rides and has enjoyed going for some walks. I’ll write more as we get to know this handsome guy. Seniors make wonderful companions, so give him some serious consideration. |
