UPDATE 5/5/10 - Hello from TINKS world. I was taken to this place with a zillion other dogs and I think i was there last week too, anyway, they all make noise, run around and I just lay at Melisse's feet and wait for her to make me do something that gets me a treat and everyone claps and laughs. This week there was another dog that was almost as good as me, everyhting she got told to do she did. Well, I said to myself we will end this. Melisse told me to whisper and the other dog could not, so I won, well my team won, sooooo happy. I went through a hula hoop, followed Missa's fingers all around and through her legs, I am also learning to heel or something like that. Melisse says heel and I go stand or sit by her feet, I get lots of treats, I like this place. I really dont see why all those litlle mop looking dogs bark so much, one good bite and swallow and they would be gone, but I am a lover not a fighter. It is getting to hot to get under the covers right now but we stay outside more bec ause there is no white stuff or it doesn't get dark early they say, something about summer. I went fishing with Missa, but she caught one after I caught my first one. Then she chases me around laughing and trying to get it from me, something about a sucker, dont get it but its fun running around with it its squirming, she laughing trying to run and I tease her bad. I let her see me drop it and when she gets real close I get it and run, I get tired after awhile. I give it to her and she puts it back in the water. She really likes catching these rainbow color looking fish their pretty and I want on but nooo wayyyyyyyy she says. Went and got booster shots and now I am good to go Ed says, they put this thing on my chain around my neck with another thing and now I jingle when I walk, but if I walk slow it dont make no noise. Well I gotta go out and too bed. Hope all you other groovy dogs abd humans are well, I hope someday Ed can put more pictures of me here, they like showing me off, how can they do that, let me know and I will show them lol. PEACE

UPDATE 4/7/10 - Well Tinks went to her first obedience class on Monday night, they immeadiately moved her to another class as "she is a very darn smart dog." We told them about Julie and the wonderful home she came from. All that hardwork paid off Julie. Its funny when we walk in all the dogs start yapping, barking an acting like dogs. Not Tinks, she lays down by our feet and waits to show off and get treats for doing what comes naturally to her. She breezed through the touch, sit, and lay stuff. Then we did between the legs and around and through the legs, I got dizzy, Melisse took over. She is so well behaved, and a very quick learner, she makes us so proud. All the folks love her especially her fawn colour. Where I came from fawn colour is all you saw, the first brindle I ever saw was in Connecticut. West coast boxers as far as I ever knew were brown. Tinks seems to really love her class, and of course her treats. She even sat in a hula hoop, back paws, front paws and then her whole bod y, all with pointing, and clicker than treats. Such a proud mamma and pappa. She is still healthy as can be, vet says great. Shots (booster)for rabies and par vo are do this month so thats on her schedule. Loves getting groomed and the groomer loves grooming her. When she gets done at the groomers she has to prance around and show off how pretty she is, what a ham....I am ready for my close up Mr. Demille. Well going outside to play with new toys, I hope all boxers are healthy and yours makes you as happy and your heart full of love as ous does. PEACE

UPDATE 3/3/10 - Hello to all. TINKS continues to surprise us with her love and very funny antics, there is not a boring moment around here. It was soooooooo great seeing hwer in the calander, and aother fine job form out favorite lady. TINKS health is excellent the vet always has good things to say about hoe she is healthy, good natured and pleasant to get a visit from. Obedience is this month, we are looking forward to having her get out to do this, she loves her play dates we are taking her too, she is so full of playfullness and would let her do this from sun up to sun down. There are days where she wears us out completely even when we play in shifet, she ust shakes her head and keepscoming back for more. She loves the snow, wasnt quite sure and the look we got when it melted in her mouth was great a pictue couldnt of done her justice and it happend way to fast. She loves chasing those snowballs and wonsers where they have gone when tey melt in her mouth, I gotta pee about the third tim e she catches one and it disappears, I do not remember ever laughing this hard. She belives she is a terries, doesnt understand it as she jumps in the air and on to your lap. More laughter and some pain, lmao.She demands her dail two rides, one inMissa car and one n mine mand she lets us know too. She pouts just like a kid on snowy days when raods are no all that good, more laughter from pouts. Glad it has not snowed much up here this year. I am afraid she would take the keys and go herself. She alo has turned out to be quite the watch dog, what a growl and scary bark too, we jump out of bed a couple of times, she acts like they are in the house and they are down the road about a quarter mile, lmao she is just too funny. She loves druit, grapes especially, celery, peaches, weird, vet says not a big deal just dont get carried away with giving it to her. Ice cream is another favorite especially a little cone with vanilla, she is going to drive us dray, maybe crazier, or maybe were al ready there. I have always said we are here for there amusement. Watch your boxer close one day when your laughing, they get this gleem in their eyes as if to ay, thankk you good human you really make me laugh, i swaer she smiles sometimes. Well hope all; are well, may your boxer bring you as much pleasure as ours brings to this family. PEACE

UPDATE 1/14/10 - Well we have had TINKS form awhile now. Accordinf to paperwork she just celebrated her 2nd birthday, we had a sorta party and then another party at Christmas. She got a lot of toys, all which have lasted about 4 minutes a piece. Dont care whats it made of, its gone in 4 minutes, if anything lasts longer its a miracle, loves to play tug a war....so do we. We think she is missing her daily swim lmao to darn cold for her or us. Its amazing what she has turned into as thses months have passed by. She is no lady when it comes to eating, and getting under the covers with us is quite the exoierence, and once down and those beautiful eyes close its like a log that snores. Obedience is still a go for March, it is in Presque Isle at the rec center. Souns like it wuill be fun. Clicker traing whic is sort of how we started her and then to hand commands, which she is really good at, treats are alwyas given and she loves getting her treats so she does her part in the training, fun too. W e laughed so hard we almost peed, snow came and she hops a round like a rabbit. I had made a snow ball to get melisse with but missed and TINKS got it and in her mouth it went and she started to bring it to me but we all know whatr happened, she had the weirdest look on her face, wheres my new toy, who took it, she just didnt get it, the next hour was going threw the same thing and the strangest looks on her face each time. She now finds a chunk of ice and we play fetch with that, this dogs personality is just like ours, scary huh. She still gets her daily 2 rides, she meet her first moose yesterday, that was a stressful minute or two but they both decided it didnt matter, one went one way TINKS went to the car the other way. Hope all is well with your dogs, heart felt sorry to those whos family member went to the bridge, but they are watching over all of us, and we like knowing that.

UPDATE 12/6/09 - First of al TINKS wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone, and that we are back on line after being off for awhile because other computer went boomn. I am doing good but I feel like not going to be listening to anybody mode today. I am going to stand in the middle of the yard and just stare at you when you ask me to do something. No I dont want to go for a ride, and I dont wanna come back in the house. Put themn treats away they aint gonna work either. Hey dont close the door, Ed, Ed! Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I was just kidding, I will listen. Cmon Ed open the door its a little cold out here. Whew that was close guess I'll listen, he was gonna leave me outside forever. I guess my ride is out of the question huh, ohhhhhh maybe later if I listen okay you bet. Well I asm going to be good I love riding in the huge car of his, her car is cool too but kinda small, his I can jump fporm back to front and its a good jump. I get yelled at to stop once I get to crazy but all in all uit s fun.
I am feeling really good today, we had some white stuff come here the other daypast my knees in some spots. Ed would make this round white thinbg and throw it but it sisappeared in my mouth for some reason he gave me quite a few and he was laughing so hard he had to go inside to that room where the water comes from. Its nice to play, where is my stick, that white stuff took it i think. Well I am gonna go lick Ed a whole lot and make him laugh, he likes that and then I get ride. I guess in March I am going to some class he says i will loike it because there will be other dogs there too. I have a plat date each week and me and this other crazy dog run around chasing each other. He chases his tail, I aint got one to chase, gotta ask Ed about getting one. UPDATE 11/13/09 - Well there is no more honeymoon period with TINKS. I wonder if there efver was, she fit in and was well behaved from day one. There have been a few accidents with food being left out, (you were right Julie) but that has seems to gone the wayside. We love her so much, whats more important in our herats is we know she loves us. We had a little of snow awhile back a dusting ya know, well she loved playing in it. i would throw her a small snowball she would catch it, it would melt or get dropped and then she looked at me with that look, you all know that look,(one of many) ur lovely animals give to us. Hey where did it go? Gimme it, then her head would go down and she would serch for the snowball in the dusting. She looked so damn funny and cute when she came up for air or to give us that look. I have had dogs all mt life and a few boxers were in thwere. I do not remember any dog that gave, or showed he love to us like TINKS, she is a cuddle bug, 65 pound lap dog, and snores li ke nobodies bussiness, and yes she sleeps with us, I have pics to prove she was sharing Melisses' pillow. She is daddy girl too and jealous when we kiss, and when it is time for a couple to be amourus the door has to be closed and barricaded. Not real esxciting to look at the foot of the bed because of the whinning or growling and see the dog watching, kinda weird to say the least. She continues to do fantastic, clean bill of health, obedience school in March no sooner but this is the county ya know. thanks agfain to Julie and Scott for their love and undersdtanding of TINKS as it made it really easier for us and the hard work wqs done by them, we got to reep the rewards. She loves the groomer, goes every month, loves it too, she ainbt right I tell ya. Anyways always good to brag about our girl and Julie and Scott who we still keep in tpouch with. UPDATE 9/8/09 - Hurayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy we now have set up an obedience class. It starts in March, everything up this way takes awhile, and were all registered and everything. There ya go Julie all set sorry it took so long. Arroostook County Kennels is sponsoring it. They say they love rescue dogs, sound like our kind of people. TINKS continues to do excellent, she is always keeping smiles on our faces, something new everyday she does a look she gives us and while laughing our butts off our hearts sail to new levels of happiness. She continues to love swimming. She has taken up diving now, maybe Olympics for diving. Will have to think about the high board, I have never seen a dog take to water like TUINKS, especially a boxer, weird but a great joy. Is there a spell check on this thing. I looked at some of my last postings, its a miracle anyone can understand what the hell I am saying lmao. The meds are almost all gone vet wanted one more month to be sure. Her coat and skin are excellent. The vet is very happy with the way she looks and attitude as well. We have had TINKS on a play date, she did really well as the other dog did too. She slept like a rock too the exercises did all of us good. She is still loving her rides she gets, even jumped through the window yesterday to get in. Gotta nip that in the bud as in works and sooner or later she will figure out , the other way (out) works too, do not need that worry. She does so well with her commands. She knows one finger means sit, open palm means stay, whisper, shakes, gonna be a start someday.

UPDATE 8/10/09 - I have forgotten whether I wrote this month or not duhhhhhhh on me. Very bust and not all dog things either. She is doing well very well, in fact she is doing so well it probably is illegal. lol. Her shin is all here, well on her lmao, she is laying right next to me as I type this, if I stop short while we are walking I would have an extra exteremety coming out my butt, use other word around the house. The vet is very pleased with her and can not believ she is an adopted, second chance boxer, she tells me all the time she is impressed with the work that was done before we got her, and since we have had her. We love her to death and her us. melisse is down state with family for a wwk and you van tell there is sometrhing missing from her, she doesnt mope or anything, but every now and then she is in the window her head on the sill and watches for her car for about 30 minutes, she knows too. Still waiting on the training schedule but I guess there aint enough people who sign up. But as I have always said Julia and her wait for us family reallt did all the hard work and we are reaping the advantages. She does shake, whisper, not bark for a treat. We have been reading the boards and TINKS does have some running dreamns too, we laugh she wakes up and looks at us like WHAT? what did I miss. She snores reallt bad too. If I can get her and Melisse to snore together some nights would be easer. I wake them both up and ask if they can do it in unison lmao, I sleep way to light, militart I guess, PTSD form the jungle. lol. She also does not run she gallops like a friggin horse, she is fast I tell ya she is gonna hit the wall on the third turn. I dread that, how do I mnake her more careful. She loves the Harley, I start it up and she comes running begging for a ride. She gets 2 to 3 rides a day, we tend to spoil our children. Well we have to go mow the lawn and chase the chipmonk she has adopted. The strangest thing I have ever seen. Noxe to nose yesterday I swear they kissed, damn 60's must be a flashback. Hope all is well. Prayers and sadness to those that have losrt a dog, I read the boards and people are always talking about it. I dread the day but it is the natural way of things. Yea right, I will not hear thatmnwhen that day comes.

UPDATE 7/8/09 - Hello again to all. We love writing about Tinks, she is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread. Went to her first Vet visit with us. She has gotten a very clean bill of health. The vet is keeping her on that liquid stuff for the mange which is caused by mites, the stuff we are learning, so cool. She has all her hair back now, if not then it takes a vet with a magnifying glass to find it. She is all fawn and such a ham, and delight to play with. We also took her for her first grooming, she loved it such a good dog too she let the nails get trimmed and not one problem while getting it done, such a good girl, and smelled good for about a day then rolling around in the grass and such and the good smell went away, she is not a girlie girl for sure lmao. We were outside the other day doing the garden and saw we were shoveling a bit, well she turned around and those back legs got busy digging. Had to explain the digging has to happen away from the zuiccinni that is growing but hey
she didnt know. She loves barking and chasing us when we mow the lawn, too funny. She loves swimming. Melisse and Tinks have a swimming hole they go to and no sooner are they out of the car she is in the water chasing whatever is in there, grass, leaves, paper, she has to let all things know its her pond and hers alone. She likes getting us up in the morning with sloppy, boxer kisses and wiggles, the whole bed shakes not just from her, but us laughing and playing with her, grrrrrrreat mornings. We are waiting for a behaviroal class to start, by the time one starts we will be done doing it and the class will be a breeze. She loves frisbee, wood, balls (softball)and this blue thing that looks like the Michelin man. She cant quit playing, and at the end of the day when its night time and time for bed, she sleeps between us, and forget about moving her, once she is a sleep she is asleep. Let a strange noise happen and wide awake growling. Good watch dog too. She loves her 4 rides a day 2 with me in the truck and 2 with Melisse in the sissy car. She sends her love to her old family and cant wait for our planned yearly get together next May (around then). Here's wishing everyone as agood of times as we are having with our new kid at the house. She listens well and thats because of foster mom and dad before we got her. PEACE and RESPECT to all.

UPDATE 6/15/09 - I am Having issues with sending these things. Another page I write and then go to send but there is no button for me to push for send. I found this one and hopefully this will work, it says yearly but hey I never foillowed directions well anyway. We love Tinks and he seems to be doing really well. He isnt to sure about moose so we dont let him go to far with out us being with him. We were told he loved to play ball, man does he. I dont know who sleeps better him or us, and snore holy crap between him and Melisse they got the snoring champion tied up. If they could just do it togehter that would help. He loves riding in truck and car and we love taking him. He goes at least 2 times a day. Once with me and then again with melisse when she gets home, and then other for incidentals lol. His hair is growing back really well and he is so beautiful a fawn color, and the blak mask is fantastic. Hasnt gotten on the Harley yet but were working on it.We have friends with dogs so there are play dates, Julie and Scott gave us those ideas. They are fantastic people and did well with the time they had Tinks. He now shakes on command, no help with touching the paw first. Of course he sits and lay down. We are teaching him hand and finger commands and does fantastically well, smart as a whip. I can not belive how smart he is. I do believe how mishecvious he is and we have had a few things get chewed up and we expected it. So the house is now kid proof and were learning how to Tink proof everyday. It is a learning process everyday, but fun for all of us. Tink keeps tugging at me he wants to say hi to Scott and Julie.
Hey you guys you there? How come I cant see you, where are my sisters? Can ya send them up here for a week or soo, there is lots of room. I miss you guys but thses two carzy fools help me forget some, but no matter hwat I wil always remember you all. oxoxoxoxox with slobber too. Anyway I dont have a brother or sister here, but there are thses really big brown smelly things here that they wont let me play with. She calls them moose he calls them swamp donkeys, weird huh? They have a lot of room here and I con them into at least 3 hours a day of ball playing. Its a good thing I bring it back ncause that big one with all them pictures on his body doesnt run really good, she rums pretty good but not as fast as me. They have a garden which I found out was not a place to dig, they took me out of there in a hurry, but heck there is somuch land and trees here I let them have ther silly garden. They take me for lots of rides in the truck and her car. trck is better cause I get the whole back to myself, he has me in a harness? Keeps me in with ouyt hurting me, and I cant get out, I really want a swampo donkey of my own. My hair came back, and it itches sometimes so they scratch me, I really like that ya know, there such suckers. I get treats, great food, sleep between them and they laugh because of the way I breathe when I sleep. The girl one does too and we need to get in tune he says, dont get it but they laaugh so hard. I must really need a bath or something because the other night on the couch they both jumped up and yelled "Tinks you stink really bad girl." Dont get it, he said something abouit a cork,whats a cork? Well I have a vet appointment today and something about a obedience class, is thats something I can eat? Well talk to you all again, OI gotta go see what I can do to make them laugh.

5/30/09 - Tinks has been adopted!

5/15/09 - The meds are working well.....Tinks is growing her hair back....kind of reminds me of a Chia-Pet!.....she still can't get enough "fetch" time.....throw anything and she will sprint and bring it back to you.....better hurry up and adopt me......The Red Sox are calling me every day to sign me as a free agent......NOBODY chases down balls like ME!!!

5/9/09 - Tinks went to the vet today and had her blood work done checking for parasites......she passed with an A+!!!!.....blood work couldn't have been any more perfect.....we are continuing her meds and day by day her skin keeps getting better.....Tinks is definately one of a kind.....her personality and affection is so overwhelming, we don't even see her skin condition any more....she is awesome with our 2 Boxers....she has a diffferent relationship with each one....with Maxi , she is her napping buddy and always lays next to her and either has an arm or her head on Maxi.......with Maggie, Tinks is her playmate......they roll around with each other, chase each other around the house and they play frisbee and ball together......Tinks claimed her spot on our bed day one......right between us and takes turns sleeping with her head on Julie and myself all night long.......instead of going on and on and on, if you were to sit down and write a description of the perfect Boxer......it would be Tinks!......for all of you who pass her by or overlook her, you don't know what you are missing.....I would definately recommend a home with at least one other dog so they can be best buds forever!

05/03/09 - Tinks has made herself right at home......took her all of 3 days.....she is now on her skin meds and we already see a difference......can't say enough how much she loves to snuggle with you and just snore away......she is completely house trained and hasn't left the yard once.....you couldn't ask for a better Boxer......her nickname here is "Pig Gut" because I don't think there is a bottom to her stomach!!!

04/26/09 - Tinks arrived today!!!....she is very well behaved, walks right beside you on a leash, sits, stays and LOVES to play ball!....she is settling in and getting used to us and her 3 step sisters.....Lilly now has competition in the pure speed catagory......she has a skin allergy that we have to figure out but look at how sweet she is......wouldn't you put this face on a stamp!....more as we figure her out
