UPDATE 4/19/10 - This year has gone by fast....Shea grew up into a wonderful young dog!! She is weighing in at 49 lbs and her visit to the vet today was great she is perfectly healthy!! Shea gets lots of excercise at the local dog park and walks around town!!  Shea comes to school with me most days and really enjoys spending time with the kids and napping while I teach in her crate.  We are thinking about taking an advanced training class this summer where she can be certified as a Canine good citizen! Shea is doing great and is curled up on the couch as I type this....life is good!

UPDATE 10/21/09 - Update: Shea is taking the next level of training classes and learning all sorts of new things like, Sit, stay and lay down all with me distracting her.  She is also learning to stay for longer periods of time and to drop on recall and heel!!  Shea has been coming to work with me alot lately which is more fun for her, and the students love when she visits and are really sad when she stays home.  Shea had a visit from her friend Jasmine a few weekends ago and was so excited that she wouldn't go to sleep because she wanted to play all night long.  Shea has learned that digging is a fun thing and made a small hole in the yard before I noticed so we are keeping a closer eye on her during her yard time.  As usual Shea loves going to the dog park and can easily spend 2 to 3 hours there running around and playing with her friends Stella and Penny but sure is pooped when she gets home.  Shea is all ready for winter and won't have to worry about frost bite ever again when she wears her new "horse blanket" type coat, it fits great and is really warm!!

UPDATE 7/21/09 - Shea is 2 weeks away from graduating puppy classes!!  She's made lots of friends there and has learned so much to help her to be an smart dog!!  Shea gets so many complements everywhere she goes especially at the dog park where she's made lots of 2 and 4 legged friends!  Everyone there says how cute she is!  Shea loves to run and chase her ball, she's even starting to bring it back to mom so she can toss it again!  Shea is doing so much better with her crate training thanks to a kong and some treats!!  Shea loves her kitties and really really wants Zoe to play with her (Zoe feels otherwise).  Shea wasn't liking her Science Diet puppy food so Mom switched her to blue buffalo which she loves, she licks the bowl clean after every meal!  Shea has the potty training thing down pat and hasn't had an accident in the house in a really long time...and is starting to use her voice (whining) to let her mom know when she needs to go out!  Shea is looking forward to another upcoming trip to NY to visit her puppy friend Jasmine who she loves to play with.

4/21/09 - This little girl went with her forever family this morning!

4/15/09 -
Reyna has just found her confidence. It seemed to happen over night.. One day she was the only puppy afraid to jump over the brook when we go for our walks and the next day she was leading the pack. For a while she would sit in my lap while the other puppies played with the big dogs. Now she chases the big dogs around and wants to play all the time.

3/17/09 -
Well the puppies are now ten weeks old and have been to the vet for their second set of shots. I also have new weights on them all. Reyna now weighs 14lbs even. She is very attentive and the first one to come running when ever I get the treats out. If she hears the box rattle she runs over and sits down and stares up at me expectantly. She love to sit in my lap but just for a short time because there is always something else she needs to do.
