| UPDATE 10/29/09 - Hi everyone! It was my birthday the other day, the 27th! Momma said I’m 7 months old now and I’m getting big. I just had to write and tell you about what I’ve been doing. I miss my big foster sis Cherokee, she was fun, she used to roll me over and tickle me. Momma said I’m getting a new foster kid but not to tell Zack ‘cause he might start shaking and crying. Hee hee! We like to keep secrets from him I guess. He doesn’t get it, I’ll stop boxing him really hard if I have someone else to play with. He doesn’t have enough legs to play the way I like anyway.
I really like the kittie but she refuses to learn to box. It’s not fair, I learned how to swat. I know she likes me too ‘cause she jumps up and curls up next to me when I’m snuggling with Momma. And I know I’m helping Momma with her too ‘cause if Bling (or even Zack) is in trouble I jump right in and tell them to knock it off. I know Mom is the boss but sometimes I think I should help. Momma said she should have named me Chopper ‘cause I hover around her all the time. Don’t tell her, but it’s just ‘cause I want more cookies or whatever she has to eat or drink. I really like the yummy meat she gives me, the bones are wicked fun to throw across the room, almost like a ball. I’m doing pretty good training my skin people too, even though we had to postpone class for a little bit. We start again this coming Sunday. I sit to make them take me out or feed me or pet me or let me on the couch or throw the toy, pretty much anything I want, I just sit and they do it. I don’t like the crate but I go in hanging my head if she gives me a few cookies. I don’t break out anymore since they started clamping the door. I always have something to play with and a bone for the day. I just like my people too much to want to be alone. It’s pretty cool here. I get nice beds and food and play time. I’ll write more some other time. Hug all your fur kids today! Licks and wiggles, Panda UPDATE 7/5/09 - Pandora missed her foster playmate Cherokee for a few days but has learned how to engage me and my son in her play with no problem whatsoever. The cat's not quite interested yet, but she keeps trying. She's also very good at tiring herself out by running from the crate room into and through the living room, sliding into home under the chair and figure eighting through the coffee table legs. Over and over and over again. All while carrying one of a half dozen toys in her mouth. She started puppy class last Tuesday and after a bit of shyness at the ruckus of 6 other puppies, joined in the jumping, wrestling, play bowing, leash tugging fray. Two weeks ago she was 15.5 lbs. She no longer has flat soft puppy feet and her legs are alomst as long as her body, including her head. I don't know if she's going to be long and lanky like her dad Cassius's pictures or short and solid like her mom Chloe. Everyone comments on her beautiful markings, of course we agree. But more importantly she's a really good puppy. She has however learned to climb over the gate from the living room into the kitchen so we bring her with us which allows us to practice the "no" command when she tries to run down into the cellar for the kittie poop treats. Speaking of poop, yea she eats hers. BLECH! No kisses for me until she stops that. Panda came to us knowing to sit and stare to get our attention. Thanks Leann! She doesn't like to be crated but will go in on her own to chew on her toys and with a treat as part of training. Tomorrow she goes in for another round of vaccinations. Next month we head up to our cabins in the Adirondaks. There's a pond, we'll learn if she can swim. Don't worry there's a little beach so she can wade in only if she wants to. 5/23/09 I went home today with my new brother and mommy and this foster sister that I just love to tir...tur....tor...torment! They call me Pandora- cuz I have my own box! HI! I'M MADELINE! I was born last. I was so comfy where I was, I just wanted to hang out. I'm special because I'm the only one of the bunch who isn't all white! I'm almost black, my brindle is so reversed. Isn't it funny that I'm a boxer puppy with a square box on my bum?? I already have a forever family waiting for me to grow up so they can take me home! Yippee! 3/27/09- CHLOE HAS HAD HER PUPPIES! Cassius is the proud papa. |
