| UPDATE 10/31/09 - Hello All,
Junior has been with me for 2 months now. Thank you SCBR and Foster Mom and Dad for taking such good care of the big boy. I posted a couple of updates but they didn't go through. Junior is just a love and fit right in immediately. Lilly his little white boxer sister thinks Junior is just the best! They really enjoy each others company. I often find them side by side. They love to curl up together and they love to play. Lil entices Junior into a game of tug o war and then shw lies down flips her back legs back and lets Junior tow her around the living room. It is very funny. Before Junior she used to pull herself around the rug using her from feet. No need for that now LOL. Little does Junior know, he thinks he's winning the tug o war! Junior is pretty well trained. He is now doing well on the leash, comes to me when I call him. He sits and will lie down. That face of his just makes you feel sorry for him LOL. My trainer no longer has classes in my area so I"m looking for a new trainer and will get him signed up within the next 2 weeks. Junior enjoys company and is very well mannered. Everyone that has met him thinks he's great...and he is. They are just little angels when company visits. Junior loves his rides and gets lots of smiles with that face and bottom tooth catching the top lip. Junior has full run of the house while I'm at work. He is very good. No problems there. I usually find that he has dragged his dog bed right next to Lil's crate. (she gets into things) He has had a few pee accidents in the house on the rugs. I am wondering if he is marking because he can still smell Snowy's scent or because he wants to be top dog over Miss Lil. It usually happens when I'm home. Junior sleeps all night. He starts out on his dog bed and sometime during the night he find his way onto the bed very very quietly. Junior loves children and other dogs and that is great because it makes it very easy for me to take Lil and Junior with me. I found an egg sized lump on the back of Juniors leg last evening. We have a vet appointment on Weds. I am hoping it is just a fatty tumor. It is a bit concerning to me because of the location. Please keep the big goofy boy in your thoughts. on a final note... Junior and Lil' say Happy Halloween...they are going to be white boxer ghosts! 8/30/09 - I was adopted today.....my harem cried! 8/27/09 - It's tough being a "Chick Magnet" but somebody has to do it! 8/23/09 - I think I've died and gone to heaven!....I spent all day in cars then this Red Sox tatooed guy picked me up and took me to a place I've only dreamed about....I was greeted at the door by 3, yes 3, beautiful women!....they were all throwing themselves at my feat the second I walked in....we all sniffed each other and then I was fed a huge bowl of food....after dinner they gave me a tour of my new foster home.....then the girls took me up to the air conditioned room where we all jumped up on the bed and fell asleep in the cool air.....it was a very crowded bed last night with me and my harem and 2 humans but we all slept until 7:00, got up to pee, then back to bed for another coule of hours of sleep.....you should have seen the girls...all of then snuggled up to me and kissing me....it was quite embarrassing actually.....they don't call me "Junior" like my foster parents.....they call me "Gandalf, the White Wizard"..... I met some more people today and I heard them talking about me...we were all laying out by the pool and I heard them say that I was handsome, very gentle, I have very good manners, I'm potty trained, I stayed next to my foster parents when I went out on the lawn without a leash and if I stray too far, one call of my name and I'm right back at their feet.....I'm great with dogs, kids, people and I don't bark at cars driving in the driveway like those silly girls do......well, I've had enough sunbathing so the girls and I are going up to the cool room and take a nap......LIFE IS GOOD! 8/20/09 - Jr. is a very sweet easy going boy. He showed some interest in my parrot, but after being told that it was none of his business, he left it alone. He chases the cat but gives up when she gets out of reach, so theres no real prey drive there. He gets along well with Chloe because he's really laid back like her. Lucius has pestered him to play since he got here yesterday, this morning he finally obliged and they've been playing pretty steady for the last couple of hours. Most fosters in this house spend the night in a verikennel, but Jr. was quite happy to find himself a spot in my bed with Lucius & Chloe. (King Size is the only way to go) If Lucius wasn't so high strung, I'd keep Jr. in a heartbeat! He is awsome. |
