11/18/09 - I was adopted today!

11/9/09 -
Ok, ok, I am getting way to comfortable here. I have fit right into the routine. I get along great with the other dogs. I have gotten so much better about people coming into the house. I will let you know they are here, but I don't scare them anymore. I like the little chihuahua and even the big mastiff. I also don't mind these stupid things they call turkeys, they walk right up to me. The other dogs here like to chase them, but why bother they are too big and dumb? I hear they are leaving before Thanksgiving, but I don't think I want to go where they are going.
Have I said how much I love kids, big little and inbetween? Kids make me very happy. And riding in the car! Nothing is better than a trip with my foster dad. I am so good in the car and feel very special to get to go. I don't try to sneak out the door either and if I do get out, guess what? I don't go anywhere. I come when they call me. In the house, I don't get on any furniture. I lay on my bed when I'm told. And even though I'm really tall, I never take anything off the counter even though I can easily reach everything. So, I really am the perfect boy if you like a big dog. Don't let me settle in here anymore I want a place of my own. Hemi

Hemi has come into the house and fit right into the pack. He is one of the best behaved dogs I have ever had the honor of fostering. Hemi likes the other dogs but loves my husband. When Greg offers him a ride he is like a kid in a candy store. He gets so excited to go. He is great in the car and looks so funny sticking his huge head out of a small truck. He makes everyones head turn with his beauty and size. Hemi loves kids and it makes his day when one comes to visit. Even though he gets excited he does not jump. Hemi is a true gentleman and when told to go lay on his bed with immediately do so. He never gets on the furniture, (no matter how hard Greg trys) and he never steals anything of the counter. He has never had an accident, never met a dog he doesn't like from our 5 pound chihuahua to our 150 pound mastiff. Hemi is a true treat and deserves a very special home to call his own. If he could go with you in the car or on the farm he would be a happy happy boy.

- Hemi is a big boy who came to us from a family in NH who had to surrender him because their family was growing again and, as often in this economy, housing was shrinking. He's a nice boy who is a great family dog, up to date on everything and already "fixed". He met Buiser the 'teacup' chihuahua last night and wasn't quite sure whether to be afraid or not. I bet they'll be pals. Hurry and get your aps in on this guy before my husband figures out how we can make room for "just one more!".
