| UPDATE 12/22/09 - It has been a wonderful 6 months with Mr. Flash and people constantly comment on how well adjusted he seems to be. Flash is enjoying his new city life except for the icy snow. Not a big fan but at the same time not really a fuss. Flash rolls with the punches.
We just got back from spending a weekend at my family's home in NJ and Flashy just LOVED all the attention and turkey his grandmother slyly slipped him. I speak for my entire family when I say we are truly trilled to have Flash as a member of our family! UPDATE 7/22/09 - Flash is just an incredible dog! I feel so lucky to have met him. He is doing amazing and is just settling in wonderfully. We are still resting his front leg that was injured while at his foster families house but it is coming along great and his limp is almost unnoticeable. Flash loves living in Manhattan and loves all the people that tell him how cute and sweet he is. He listens so well and has been a pleasure to train. We know sit, down, five, roll over, and crawl. In just a month! Flash, of course loves to eat so we've been working on him asking politely for his meals. This consists of sit, stay, and look at me (about 5 sec. of good eye contact with me). Thank you again for matching us. I couldn't have asked for a better dog! 6/22/09 - Flash! He's outta here! 6/4/09 - Well, it's been 3 weeks since I moved into my new foster hme. I am sooo happy to be here. I get lots of attention, food, treats and also get to play every day, except when it's raining, I think that's why we don't go. I hear my foster mom and dad always saying what a good boy I am. I listen well and am very respectful. I overheard my foster mom saying I will be getting neutered June 19, whatever that means. I just hope it involves EATING! I think my foster mom wants to say a few things. I can't say enough good things about this lovable little boy. He loves giving lots of love and is very playful. He has settled in very well and gets along with his little foster sister, Desdemona, who is just about his age. I would love for him to find a forever home that can give him tons of love and attention. Flash deserves it! He would love it if his forever home had kids and another dog as well. He would make any family proud to be part of their family. You couldn't ask for a better best friend! 5/19/09 - I have to say that I couldn't have gotten a better dog for my first foster. He really is so loving and what a good boy. He loves to go for walks and play ball. Although he's not really sure about how to actually play right, but none the less, he loves just getting ALL the balls and throwing them around. He looks forward to breakfast and dinner (typical teenager) and is getting along well with my little boxer girl, DesDemona. He will make a family very happy and proud to have such a great little boy! He will be going soon to the vet for neutering, and I'm sure he will do just fine. More to come on this handsome, loving, little boy. 5/16/09 - Hi Everyone, Let me introduce myself...My name is Flash. I am a very happy go-lucky boy. Here's a little something about me and my new foster family... Well, I finally arrived at my new foster home. I traveled a long way to be with them. It feels good to belong somewhere. My new foster family tells me what a good boy I am. I did really well on the car ride home with them. I love that they have kids and another boxer, but she's a girl. I went to the vet today, May 15th and I did really well. He's says I'm healthy, well except for some worms, but the doc said it will all go away with just a little medicine. I love playing tug-of-war and going for walks. I actually walk quite nicely on my leash, well maybe just a few reminders are helpful every now and then. I will give you some more updates as the days and weeks go by with my new foster family. |
