UPDATE 8/14/09 - Just a note to let you guys know that Dakota has now been spayed. Had a little problem with the anethesia. Wasn't feeling well the next couple of days. Vet put her on some medication to help her stomach settle. She is growing real fast, at 6 months she now weighs 45.6 pounds. Alway an adventure with her. She still chases the cat, hasn't gotten used to him yet, mayvbe she never will. She has lots of doggie friends and plays real well with them. She is exposed to lots at people of all ages, from babies to elderly that have problems walking and is very well behaved and never gets out of hand. We love her to death. Couldn't ask for a better dog, she fits in soo well with the family.

UPDATE 4/29/09 - well we have had Dakota in our home for 2 1/2 weeks now and she is adjusting just fine. We have another dog, cocka-poo/shitzu mix, and a cat. Needless to say it is a little crazy in the house. The cat is still feeling her out and stays enough away so she can still keep an eye on Dakota. My other dog, Cosmo, is 8 years old and is running around crazy again playing with Dakota. After a week she was having an issue with urinating so we took her to the vet before her scheduled appt. and found out she had a UTI. She is just finishing her antibiotics and seems to be OK now. She is 10 1/2 weeks old and already weighs 18.5 pounds, she is going to be a big girl. We have 6 acres and live off the road, she is loving it. Plenty of room to run around. She is alot of fun and soooo cute. Still training to be house broken but getting better. Thank goodness i work right down the road and get to go home every couple of hours to let her out of the crate. That's ll for now I will try and send pictures in.

4/10/09 - Dakota was adopted today!!!!
