| 7/5/09 - Here's some more info on Cody from his original owner: He lived with kids who are now 4, 4 and 10 years old and is said to be great with kids of all ages. He was crated a lot (bedtime and during day) and alone too many hours a day. They really loved him but said they had to surrender him because: "He has too much alone time & is too strong & big for me to handle. Needs more time with people. He is a great dog. This is really hard for me but think it's best for him.". 7/3/09 - Cody has arrived! What a Gorgeous Boy. He has a fabulous color and is definately a healthy guy. All 86 lbs of him. We tell him his name should have been Paul Bunyan. Thank God he is a gentle soul. He has settled in quite nicely. He gets along great with all the dogs he doesn't have a mean bone in him. We just got a 9 week old kitten and he loves the little guy. He tries to be gentle and as long as he just nuzzels him we are fine, sometimes he tries to put his 20 pound foot on him then the little guy runs off. He loves to be with you all the time and he loves to give kisses. He does not jump on us which is good because HE'S BIG. He knows sit and down but he is not consistent so we are working on that. He is good on the leash. One thing Cody does not like is his crate. Once you get him in he settles in but he puts the breaks on......We are happy to have him as our guests. He has good house manners. Because of his size he might not be good with toddlers. Pictures to follow. I am so not a computer person. I have taken pictures but don't know how to transfer them so I am waiting for my daughter tomorrow to help me. |
